Think on what Troop posted I thought, well my 8800GTX has 768MB so I will try mazmem=768. Â But I still saw the error... Â Then I thought on the leave 50Mb or so free so I used maxmem=712 and all seem to work fine for me... I note that this is not actually limiting system memory usage because runnning Arma (the Blod, Sweat and Tears mission) I had max memory usae of 940MB so it must be doing somthing else. Â And it must be doing something because I can now play for hours without that error appearing...

I tried maxmem=512 on my system and I have to say things seem to work much better. I had to have the automatic Gfx setting to Vey High (which when you check the Advanced Options appears to be a combination of Normal and High??) and the draw distance to 1200 and things seem to work fine so far... It can be a little laggy drawing details and applying textures at first is prefectly playable. Larger draw distances make game chug a bit when the action heats up a bit. I have 1.05 and the 100.64 Nvidia drivers... Vista Ultimate GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 MB Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 SDRAM BFG 8800GTX Western Digital Caviar 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s HD

I have Vista 32 also with a 8800GTX (BFG)... I have the 1.05 update and the 100.65 nvidia drivers and I see what you see, max out the settings and you get all sorts of wierdness... I chose the default Very High (which appears to set most things to simply High) view distance of 3015 and my screen resolution to 1900x1080 and all appears to work much better... I am going to experiment tonight with maxed out graphics settings and a small view distances and see how that goes... But I am seeing much the same so it is either vista or possibly the vista drivers... (I know it did not say Vista on the box so I am not really complaining)... I might also tyr running it in XP compatability modes too...

Have you tried the compatabilty mode thing? Set the Arma executable to run in XP compatability mode. This is of interest to me as I have only just ordered the game and I am running vista... So far I have found most dx9 compatable games do run okay...

DOn't know any IPs, but get yourself ASE, it is a godsend for OFP on-line..... You can set its filters for dedicated servers only if you wish.... I find anything with a ping under 200 playable and a ping under 100 outstanding..

This comes from a personnal experience last night... If you are having a private games, please put a password on it, or don't advertise your server on ASE.... It is kind a rude just to tell people to 'F*ck off, you not invited' and boot them when all they have done is login to your public server.... And annoying when it was the only server in the UK with a decent number of people playing on it...:( Thank....

Didn't know that about the markers......cheers....:)
