Im doing this mission now again. It seems that Guba doesn't ever come in the jeep anymore. I'll keep trying it, but I have done it three times, killed the second scud twice with stolen T80, and still never could find Guba so I had to restart.

I tend to dislike religion. I mean come on its all about tradition. I myself refer to it as my personal spiritual relationship with God. Oh and jsut because you go to a bible thumper school that doesn't make you a Christian. You need to be active and living for God to be a true Christian. It is stated in the Bible many times that God doesn't like someone who is "lukewarm" in faith. Anyway, enough of my rant on how people claim to be Christian when they really aren't. Next time you claim to be a Christian, maybe you shouldn't state that you haven't read the bible. Sorry if reality hurts. Booky

Suma, Thanks for the update that not all fixes and additions were listed in your post.

I was kinda hopeing that the Red Hammer bug with not being able to play like the 6 or 7th mission would be fixed? Didn't see it on list, guess I keep waiting :-( Other than that WTG for the huge list of fixes and new stuff :-)

All I can say is that I still play Falcon 4 and that was created many years ago. It is still the best F-16 sim out. With that said. I think OFP will be the same. In time the fan base will shrink, but the true fans (like myself) will continue to play. Now I admit it may not be the origional Cold War Crisis, but it will be some form of OFP. I will just play what I find to be the best in OFP Im an oddball I guess, since I seem to be the only one that loves Red Hammer campagn missions. Anyway, OFP will live a long time (many years) before it goeas away. When it does, it will most likely be to another OFP related game ie OFP2 or something. <S> Booky

In Red Hammer I completed the missions that you have to kill the 4 Shilka's and then you get the cutscene's where the su25's blow up the ship and then the US kills a bunch of people and the 3rd cutscene shows you running away from your truck as tanks tear it up. Well after that third cutscene when it is black screen with On the road to Muldon, or something like that, it stays there. It will not finish loading into the briefing. I tried replaying the mission and it didnt fix it. Alt-Tab doesn't work and CNTL-Alt-Del doesnt either so I have to hit reset. This is the first time this has happened and it seems to only be with this mission. Any Ideas other than restarting whole camp? If it comes to that I guess I could do that but just wanted to know if anyone had this before and how they fix it. I am using 1.75. Thanks in advance.

Ok let me get this streight. There is a 1.60 beta patch out? So that must mean that someday we may eventually get another patch for OFP? If so, what such a big jump in version number, 1.46 to 1.6, I mean why not just make it 1.47? Just curious since i thought they stopped working on OFP for the resistance add-on.

I don't know about the US Army but my in the USMC I never threw a impact fused granade. I threw a few 3 second timed and a lot of 5 second timed fuzed granades. And to clear things up some. The idea of picking up a granade and throwing it back is a hollywood idea. No one in RL would ever try it unless they didn't cherrish there hands/arms/face/well you get the drift. Even in open field you try to throw the granade as far as possible, which usually gives it 3 or 4 seconds air time. I found the 3 second fuze great since it would explode about 3 to 5 feet above the ground which increased its blast radious some. If you for some reason had to throw it closer then you let clip fly and throw instead of throwing it with clip still in. This guarantees that even with a 7 second fuze the only way it is going to come back at you is if the enemy is sitting there with a baseball glove and catches it in mid air. Granades are not light, and therefor tend to roll a bit which takes time also. Well I think you get my point. In RL the chances of a granade comming back at ya is like winning the lottery.

It could get killed by the enemy but I managed to get passed them and the silly thing just stops and explodes. It doesn't get hit by anything. I guess it is just one of the "uncontrolable things" that BIS decided "must" happen. Ya know kinda like when ya kill the Mi24 in the Montignac mission and your UH-60 never lands.

Flaps' not gonna help you pal...<span id='postcolor'> Flaps lower stall speed, increase drag in the process, but improve lift. Â Why else do they use them on takeoffs and landings ? Â Because it lets the aircraft roll/touchdown at slower speeds. Â When a plane like Cessna stalls, nothing serious happens, as long as you've got some altitude. Â The plane will point nose down (due to engine weight) and once it reaches about 120km/h you'll gain lift again. Â Extending flaps during such a manuver is not a common excercise, but it would lower your stall speed to about 95km/h<span id='postcolor'> A pilot would never pull flaps during a stall. It eats more power than it gains lift. Flaps are only used for flaring before landings. What you see happen to the wing on f.ex. a Boeing 747 during takeoff, is not really flaps. The flaps are simply extended backwards to increase the wing surface. The term "flaps" is when they're turned downwards to flare the aircraft. This is what a Cessna Skyhawk can do, and it's highly recommended not to do this during a stall. It turns your airplane into a rock. <span id='postcolor'> You are right about not extending flaps in a stall, with very rare exceptions. However the Larger aircraft do extend flaps on take off, many will also extend Slots from the leading edge of the wing also. They do this because it increases the camber of the wing which generates more lift.

If you go too far away from your objective you will die or explode if in a tank. What I suggest you do is sneak up to the shilka nw of your start spot, ya know the one near the pot of the vally by the house, and place a satchel and blow it up. Then proceed south to the main base and avoid contact with vehicles but kill any patrols you meet. Stop just north of the base near the west tree line and shoot the 1 man on the tower and the 1 man and 3 man patrols that go by. then cut accrossed to the east side and move along hill untill near the shilka. Kill its crew, they should be standing near it, and then place a satchel there also. Do not explode that one yet. Now go up the hill on east side and come back down on the south by the MI-24. Move past in to the T-80 in the line. Throw a granade over it and it should kill the group of about 6 that are by the fire. now grab some RPG's from the falled guys, there should be 2 different ones, and get in the tank. This should trigger the MI-24's, if it doesnt then drive away and come back, they will come then when the alarm goes off. Now get out of tank before they get there and they will fly over slow. Shoot them with the RPG's, there is mroe rpg in ammo crate if needed, and then ya can whipe the rest of base out with tank or MI24 at base. Hope this helps

I can't find the command to make them land, unless ofcourse I say eject or eng off, but that only makes matters worse if ya know what I mean. So anyway does anyone know how to make a AI pilot under your command land?<span id='postcolor'> Are you talking about mission editing or general playing, cos when I posted, this was in General topics. Modders must have moved it.<span id='postcolor'> I was refering in general MP play. I mean not to have them do it as a waypoint but to order them to go to a specific position, as I am GL, and tell them to land so i can get in. It cannot be by waypoints since I don't know where I may end up getting shot down.
