Ok be honest now. Â OFP great game but the MP is not its best point.

Well I got u all beat just turned 49 and I can kick u yougsters asses. I play Counter Strike, OFP, and latley a lot of MOH. Still play OFP but it is so fricken hard to get a decent MP game. Also ride mountain bike and can leave most twenty year olds pushing their bikes up the hills as I pump past them. Â

Multiplayer... make it easier to get into a game. At the least a small join in progress Island for people who what some quick action. None of this 30 min. wait to play crap.

MP is ok if u can get into a game. There are still times I try for about 45 mins and just give up and play something else. Single player OFP is the best. MP is a hit and miss afair. Game Spy is a joke. dedicate servers are better but u are at the mercy of the server adminstrator who can move u from east to west or kick u if dont play the way they want u too. Dedicated server with no admin playing you always have someone who wont clik in and holds everyone up. There are frequent sever crashes admin present or not (more frequent science 1.4 patch). When you do get into a MP game its loads of fun but expect to spend some time  to find one. The most frustrating part of MP is waiting to get into the game. You can wait 30 min  or longer to get into game play on a dedicated server. The only way around this is to host your own server and not everyone has a T1 line available to do this. The least BIS could of done was have a specator mode so u could watch the action while stuck waiting to get into the game. Single player great. MP not so good.  :-)

Drawdie's Soundpack 1.0 works with no problems for me. Have tested online and single player with no errors. Also is easy to install. The only sound I dont like is the reload sound you hear in the tanks. Just about everthing else is better than the stock OFP sounds. I'm suprised BIS hasn't locked this thread.

BIS any chance of getting an official sound upgrade?There is a huge demand for improved sounds as you can see by Sacthels thread in the addons forum. Looks like there are at least three unofficial soundpacks out now. Give the OFP community what it wants " Better Sounds"

Tried out sound pack and "sounds great". Makes a huge difference in the game. No more popcorn sound. So far no bugs found. Bis needs to come out with a sound patch for everyone to use. Until they do DL one of these sound packs and enjoy. ( make a back up of original Sound PBO file just in case of problems).

Game Spy arcade usually has 300-400 logged into the OFP lobby. Better way to play is using the ASE and connect to dedicated servers. http://www.udpsoft.com/

Can someone post a list of the vote commands here and the correct usage. Do you type UPPER CASE or lower case? Is there a space after the word vote. I know some are # vote kick Bronco (never do this) # vote missions # vote ? THX

Another term that can be added to the OFP vocabulary: "bush hiding panzy" "base raper" "spawn camper" "quake heads" "flag camper" Â I think bush hinding panzy is the best so far. Â

Can someone who is running a server put their map cycle to 15 min games so their is a place to get a quick game in. Their seems to be quite a few empty severs if they were on quick cycles they would fill up faster. Make the server name 15 min games or something like that. Use maps that have bases close together and you should have a winner. You can do a lot of damage in 15 minutes

Cannon Fodder you seem to be confused this is the OFP forum not the GR forum. I suggest you devote your time and screen shots there. If you like that game so much WTF are you doing here.

This site has a lot of good tools to get your DSL connection working, tweaks ,faq, speed test. Give it a try you might be able to improve your speed and get a better game online. Just tested mine and ........ Test running.......... ** Speed 1228(down)/109(up) kbps ** (At least 24 times faster than a 56k modem) Finish. The boats that are in the game already would be more useful if the Islands had a river in them. A wide river with a bridge or two would make for some interesting missions.

Played last night through ASE on a dedicated server with no problems. Server was on 30 min time cycle so had a twenty min wait to get in. Games had around 12-15 players. Played for 1 1/2 hours with no problems. Did not have to reboot comp once. . ASE worth the download and no banner adds (yet) The only thing it dosnt have is chat lobby to set up games. http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/

When you join game via dedicated server and the game has already started you wait at the infamous GAME IN PROGRESS SCREEN. BIS needs to make make this a little more user friendly. For starters the chat text is covered up by game in progress text at top of screen. Some servers have useful information like the time cycle for the game which is blocked by text. Maybe they could have this page like a web browser so you can surf the net while waiting to get into the next game. They could even put some banner ads there for a little extra revenue. The least they could do is move chat text to bottom of the page. Just a small gripe that s/b easy to fix.

A motorcycle with side car would be cool. Passenger could shoot on the move or jump out get the flag while driver provides cover. And them race off through the bushes with the flag.

Also the head count over at Game Spy seems to be dropping. And I dont think they are using ASE because same number of people there as before, more servers but most are empty.

Join East  Join West  buttons great Idea. I have most luck getting games through Game Spy Everon lobby. The dedicate server lobby @ GS I got in to one game which crashed after five minutes. After trying to join other servers there and numerious reboots of my comp Im back to the Everon lobby @ GS to find games.

Leave the Sam on the truck so there is some setup time.That way it would still be possibe to do a helicopter rush but you would have to be quick about it. This might even give the planes a useful purpose, taking out the sam sites. If you could only fly them without crashing.
