    ArmA 2 on PlayStation 3

Why doesn´t BI answer the speculations about ARMA2 arriving on consoles? It´s quite strange some well know gamesites still seem to think arma2 will arrive on consoles if BI nuked those plans months ago. Both the Xbox360 and this PS3 thread are useless if the game will never be ported to one or both of these consoles, and the threads seem to maintain focus on PC vs console "bashings" instead of the usefull information it could hold. Since this is the official BI forum, I would expect an official statement about Arma2 being ported to consoles instead of forum members describing the ups and downs of such ports and it´s presumed playability Without the real info nobody will know which steps to take as far as saving up for a new rig or completely bailing on arma2 are concerned. Hope it all will be answered soon...

    Arma 2 - The PS3 Thread

Would be a great loss if ARMA2 wont arive on PS3´s. I refuse to spit up the cash for a new rig which would only be justified for ARMA2. I can only hope BIS will make a final statement about console ports for ARMA2, so the console gamers can be at ease again.

Here here! Just upgraded my system from 256 to 512 mb drr 233 and this DOES fix this loading bug you have. I had the same problems, waiting close to 5 minutes for a complete shutdown of the game and all other related issues. So there we have it, Resistance definately requires a lot of RAM to perform as good as OFP did before. current specs: XP 2000 512 DDR 233 GF2 GTI 32 MB Live 5.1 on Win XP Pro OFP benchmark @ 4380 running at 1024x768 32 bit HW TL Detail level Normal viewdistance 2200 everything else maxed out/enabled

    What is your pc specs

AMD XP 2000 512 DDR 233 Live 5.1 on Win XP Pro OFP benchmark @ 4380 running at 1024x768 32 bit HW TL Detail level Normal viewdistance 2200 everything else @ enabled Toggled with the preferences to have 2048*2048 cockpits, terrain etc. 512 mb ram is DEFINATLY needed for resistance unless you want it to swap n swap n swap n swap leaving one with stuttering gameplay.

    Installation bug

Experienced EXACTLY the same problem. I´ve found one could best leave the slider for low-normal-good-best detail right where it is. When I set the game to run at a higher mode my system went nuts, swapping, loading...or whatever it was doing with my drive. Since this setting was allready at its highest before I installed the addon it left me with the neverending splashscreen at the first start. Deleting the userinfo.cfg is the solution, but I still doubt restistance will desire 5 times as much power as a meant-to-be. Since it is it´s first release I hope this thing will be solved.
  7. I´ve got a strange performance issue... well...I guess anyway. Just upgraded my system to: Athlon XP 2000+ / 256 ddr /MSi KT3 Ultra /Asus V7700 OS= Win XP pro. When I´ve played some MP missions and I want to return to the main selections screen (f.i.: found out it was 4 AM in the morning..time to quit) it takes close to 3 minutes to shut the MP related engines down and I´ll have to wait and wait some more before I can shut the game down or return to singleplayer campaigns. Allready defragged my disc using Nortons Speeddisk, but this little bug still exists. Hope one of you has experienced this same problem (and found out a way to fix it )
