The same. Raptor from ONU MOD works for himself, not for OFrP.
-
FALSE ! Please don't make hasty conclusions on what you don't know. BizaroÄde is an OFrP Partner, but if he's working on it's addons, it's only for himself and not for OFrP.

Hi There was an update of the Air Pack released (Air Pack RC2) a few weeks ago. For the troops and weapons, no updated planned for now... we need to seek and destroy enough bugs to issue an update About the rotor wash, I transmit your request to the guy who worked on this script thanks ;) Oh yes, we have some missions in the works, in a collaboration with a french MP clan (FAR), so stay tuned ;)

Hi I would like to set up my windows dedicated server to allow it to be remotly shut down for addons / missions updates, and then bring it back up for play. I already saw the useful little batch file for auto-restart, but I would need to shutdown it remotely... Thanks
-
ok.. but... even if the people who need to access the dedicated are highly reliable..., I wonldn't like them to be able to access any other files thant the dedicated, is that possible with your softwares ?
-
re I managed to solve my particular problem, and here is how I did it. First, the aim I was following : Allowing Super-Users (highly reliable ones) to make updates on an remote Dedicated server without any help from the owner of the dedicated. Updates needed were mission/config updates, as well as .pbo updates in the addons. Note that this sedicated is only (for now at least) used for Addon making and "on the fly" MP testing. There are two main function there : First : Making the Server to shutdown while updating the files and then bring it back online when finished For the updating of your files remotely, you need to set up an FTP Server with full access on the dedicated folder the people authorized to do so. Then you need a batch file to make the dedicated start and watch for a flag to allow it to restart after updating. I also added some helpful goodies like another flag which halts the loop (to completely shutdown the batch) and some "Display Flags" to show the status of the Server via FTP (running, standby, not-running). Here is the code : <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">@echo off echo OPERATION FLASHPOINT RESISTANCE STANDALONE DEDICATED SERVER LAUNCHER echo Automated Restart by Bipbip v0.8 echo ------------------------------------------------------------------- REM ------------Initialization----------------------------- REM ------------------------------------------------------- echo Initializing environment... if exist Goofy.STOP rename Goofy.STOP Goofy.RUN echo Checking for Goofy.RUN if not exist Goofy.RUN goto fatal1 REM ------------------------------------------------------- REM Check and Error : Goofy.NOGO nor Goofy.go present echo Checking for Goofy.NOGO or Goofy.go if exist Goofy.go goto ready if exist Goofy.NOGO goto ready echo Fatal Error Goofy.NOGO nor Goofy.go present. pause exit REM------------------------------------------------------- REM----------Normal Loop-------------------------------- :ready if exist GoofyStatus.running del GoofyStatus.running if exist GoofyStatus.standby del GoofyStatus.standby if exist GoofyStatus.not-running del GoofyStatus.not-running copy Goofy.RUN GoofyStatus.running echo Done, first start of Goofy... :load if exist Goofy.go move Goofy.go Goofy.NOGO if exist GoofyStatus.standby move GoofyStatus.standby GoofyStatus.running start /W OFPR_Server.exe -config=Goofy.cfg -nosplash move GoofyStatus.running GoofyStatus.standby echo Server Shutdown done by user... :loop if exist Goofy.go goto continue if exist Goofy.STOP goto quit goto loop :continue echo Checking for Goofy.go... File present. echo Goofy Restarting... Please wait. goto load REM ------------------------------------------------------- REM --------------SUBROUTINES----------------------- REM ------------Fatal Error RUN not present------------- :fatal1 echo Fatal Error : Goofy.RUN not present. pause exit REM ------------Normal Shutdown------------------------- :quit if exist GoofyStatus.running del GoofyStatus.running if exist GoofyStatus.standby del GoofyStatus.standby if exist GoofyStatus.not-running del GoofyStatus.not-running copy Goofy.STOP GoofyStatus.not-running echo Service shutdown request by user. pause exit You can guess my dedicated name is Goofy you also need 2 files in the batch path (usually your dedicated folder) to allow your system to start up (normally, you won't have to add them anymore later). Hopefully, the batch tell you and exit if one is missing at start. The two files are, to be simple : * Goofy.GO * Goofy.RUN those 2 empty files are used as flags. As soon as the dedicated starts, GoofyStatus.running is generated, this is a display flag telling you remotely that everything seems to be going smoothly. The Goofy.GO turns to Goofy.NOGO to prevent the server to restart automatically while you update its files. When you need to make an update, halt the server remotely by #shutdown when you're in control of the server (in OFP). The display flag GoofyStatus.running turns to GoofyStatus.standby, telling you that the batch is waiting a signal to restart the server. When you have finished your update, just rename Goofy.NOGO in Goofy.GO and the server will restart, and the display flag will be GoofyStatus.running again. When you want to halt the system, ie prevent it to restart, just rename Goofy.RUN in Goofy.STOP. The loop finishes, and you won't be able anymore to make the server restart if it crashed or if you #shutdown it. In this case the display flag turns to GoofyStatus.not-running This was tested by me with an FTP access, and it works fine with various scenarios. I know that my batch file is loaded with echo commands, but is can be helpful to know what's going on, this allows the batch window to act as a "console". I also added some REM commands whitch are ignored during execution to help you to understand my gas factory (french joke, I don't know if the english speaking people say that ;) ). Enjoy

your F4U5N (bottom) is really good, anyway the flash suppressors on the exhausts and the guns muzzles are missing tuhe F1U1A is very good too, and I love the BlackSheep style picture

as far as I know, the useful points for the floating feature are the LandContact points That's not a problem with boats, but it can be one for the cars... as they're designed to roll, not to float :/

Hi Remo is not an OFrP Team member. He decided on its own to make different berets (corresponding at the various units of the French army) on the OFrP's soldiers. There should be nothing new in its packs that wasn't in the base OFrP's one... unless you'd love to have green or red berets instead of the black one that we've already done However, its berets are quite good...

That's a very interresting bug ! We'll fix this one...
-
huu this is a good point for you ;) I haven't translated this yet... I'll do it asap

Hi. I'm currently working on a wheeled vehicle with a turret (like a Hummer MG to be simple). What I would like to do is to make the gunner able to turn in or out like in a tank... With the help of various BIS MLOD models from the demo (among them T72, M113 etc) I configured the stuff. On my external view LOD (0.750) I have put a M113Gunner proxy for the gunner out position, and a JeePCodriver for the "in" gunner position (because as the vehicle as glasses, you can see the gunner from outside when it's in the vehicle). Same for the pilot view LOD. Here is the interresting part of the cpp : </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> gunnerAction = ManActHRLGunner; gunnerInAction = ManActJeePCoDriver; hasGunner=true; outGunnerMayFire = true; <span id='postcolor'> The other parts of the cpp is allright, as it works perfectly with a "simple" JeepMG style. If anybody has an idea...... or knows that this is another limitation of OFP.......

Turn in/out with a turret of wheeled vehicle...
BipBip replied to BipBip's topic in OFP : O2 MODELLING
arf... I used to show the proxys only on the lods in which it can be seen... example : I didn't included the driver nor cargo proxys on the lowest resolution lods like the one used to make the shadow I'll try that thanks Well, this represents what I would like to do, yes but this doesn't help me at all -
Turn in/out with a turret of wheeled vehicle...
BipBip replied to BipBip's topic in OFP : O2 MODELLING
Morever, I've got a strange "bug" : For an unknown reason, the cargo and gunner view LODs are ignored... the driver view lod is used by the game for all the crew members views If anybody has an idea about that... plz let me know, thanks -
Turn in/out with a turret of wheeled vehicle...
BipBip replied to BipBip's topic in OFP : O2 MODELLING
Well, I didn't managed to make my gunner turn in/out Morever, I don't know if : Gunner out ->> can fire and rotate turret Gunner in ->> cannot fire nor cannot rotate turret is possible... arghh this proxy and cpp stuff drives me crazzzy -
Hi there ! To add a few details on what was said by Whisper, the OFrP's air pack will be released by the end of may About the AF-MOD Crotale... yep it looks like addon stealing If this is confirmed (and it's quite confirmed) this isn't fair... and OFrP is not linked in any way with the release of this crappy addon

Turn in/out with a turret of wheeled vehicle...
BipBip replied to BipBip's topic in OFP : O2 MODELLING
Hmm :/ What do you mean ? Do you say that in your own opinion it's a limitation ? -
Strange... try : </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">canFloat=false;<span id='postcolor'> This should prevent your car to float anymore

Ikar found it

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">5. Then after that to "Structure"-"Convexity"-"Component convex hull".<span id='postcolor'> Yep, this was the most useful part of nik's short explaination... and the tutorial I used (brsseb's one not to mention him), which is I guess one of the best set of tutos available, didn't even mention this for defining a Geo LOD

Plz go there to download : http://ofrp.free.fr/index.php BTW, all those units are on the Resistance side, so it can ally with anybody

Here is some information about the different Corsair versions. Be advised that the BlackSheep Squadron was a regular squadron in term of airplanes with quite crazy pilots so their aircraft differ very few from other USMC ones. This poster shows very well the different corsair versions (look for the canopy shape in particular the "bird cage" on the X-F4U and F4U1. You will also be able to see what the Radar dome looks like (I've got the F4U5 F4U5N and F4U5P Manual to eventually see this radar's performances). 1532_014.jpg Same in Hi-Res And now a blueprint of the F4U-5N (a version only used in Korea War, with the ultimate Corsair P&W engine and the big radar dome + all the flash and exhaust suppressors) 1532_005.jpg Same in Hi-Res All those files are provided by Vought Aircraft. Good night, folks
