Since installing the 1,42 patch, ive had several freeze/crashes at the "recieving data screen", strange cos this has never been a prob before, sometimes i just get thrown back to desktop (only in multiplayer) and ive tried shutting zonealarm down but it still happens. Does Norton A-virus autoprotect affect online play adversley? o/s Win2k pIII gig 256 ram geforce2 live 5.1 512k cable through ethernet 10mbps

Not sure if this is me or a beta prob, but i thought this had been fixed. When i join a multiplayer game (allseeingeye) my desktop still keeps trying to come through and i have to alt tab twice, but on single play its fine o/s Win2k VIA motherboard (latest 4in1 adapters) installed pIII gig 256 ram geforce2 live 5.1 512k cable modem (terayon), through ethernet (realtek) 10mbps

Help me please some one must have a clue. I've been online with windows millenium for 8 mnths without a prob, but then my harddrive died millenium caused me loads of stress(Blue screens), so i changed o/s to win2k and got a new HD. I've applied all the updates latest sound and graphics drivers directX etc, got back up to spec, then tried playing an online game (OperationFlashpoint) as i'd always done before. There is no problem in playing the game (singleplayer), but when i connect to a server for a multiplayer game, i cant get out again i try to cancel the connection and everything hangs forcing me to reset, i can call up the task manager and try to end OFP but to no avail, the mess just get worse and i reset. So i thought i'd be clever and Alt + Tab out of the game instead of cancelling in the game, and end the program with task manager, which seemed to work at first, OFP ended (connection ceased) or so i thought, then 20 mins later i'm browsing the web and BOSH it resets on me (imroper shutdown detected) and it does this every time without fail. So i thought i'd be even cleverer and when gone through the above steps again, i thought i'll reset immediately to save those damn improper shutdowns, but oh no it wont let me, as soon as i hit reset or shutdown it does it immediately. The computer shop are at a loss on this 1, and so am i. But i'm thinking its something to do with the connection it seems as if it cant sever the connection I've disabled the automatic shutdown in system properties/advanced/starup & recovery so i can at least see the error, and now as soon as i ALT TAB out of OFP(online) i get this BLUE screen error message- ***Stop 0x00000044 (0x811A38c8,0x00000cca,0x00000000, 0x00000000) MULTIPLE _IRP_COMPLETE REQUESTS Beginning dump of physical memory physical memory dump complete, contact system administrator or technical support PLEASE HELP SOMEONE! PIII gig, 256 ram, 20 gig HD, GeForce2 3dprophet gts 32mb, live 5.1 souncard i'm on a 512k terayon modem through a 10mbps realtek ethernet adapter OFP v1.42

I've downloaded the latest detonatorXP thingy, for my 3d prophet II gts series 32 graphic card, but my graphics driver in ofp prefs says NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/Geforce2 Pro, dont know if this is the latest or where to go to find out, cos nvidia.com just seem to have this detonator thing. Plus i seem to have a strange issue with the plug&play device for my monitor sometimes it says plug&play other times it says Default monitor in System\Hardware\device manager. When it does this change i lose the 85Hz refresh rate down to 60 Hz and theres no optimal refresh rate option anymore (on plug&play and default monitor) the options stay the same whether plug&play or Default monitor. I used to have it on optimal before on the same graphics card but on Millenium and then i had "3D Prophet gts" driver thing (in the ofp prefs)
