the game was bought from gamestation and yea, the dvd case says Gold edition with a little shield saying includes original game and Queen's gambit.

i paid 20 quid, and yea binkster, thats exactly what i meant. i've checked the disk, the installed files etc found no hint of queen's gambit and wasn't asked if i wanted to install it... looks like i may be getting my money back afterall

yea, typing AmmA'll teach me not to try 4 things at once, lol. As for the getting screwed. After installing ArmA (hey got it right this time) I have version 1.4 of the main game and no sign of Queen's gambit. I'm also unable to patch the game myself (I'm guessing that's due it "already" being 1.8... but not 1.8)
