    My earlier note about @wgltacopspart1 "is equivalent to the old @wglextras" is incorrect. Hi, folks, Given the recent addons changes, I believe I should clarify the following: the mod folders '@ciawgl' and '@wglextras' are no longer fully compatible w/ the addons used on the TacOps server. The following are the affected files: baracken.pbo bdm_avignon.pbo cochwk_2s19.pbo freya.pbo phoe.pbo SNYSptPack.pbo trinity.pbo Here is an archive with just these files (current server versions, of course). All you have to do is copy these into your @ciawgl or @wglextras addons folders, instead of having to download the whole pack. wglextrasciawglupdate.zip N.B. In case CiA brings back WGL to their server, my recommendation is make a copy of your orginal @ciawgl folder before making these changes, and rename the one you're using for this server to @wgltacops (according to the earlier suggested consolidation). Sorry for the mix up. First post has been updated.

    Update 2: - I ran into a problem uploading to Gamefront - the full archive is too big. For now, I've decided to go with uploading the archive in parts. On the Gamefront page, you will find the pertinent archives named "@wgltacopspart1" and "@wgltacopspart2". part1 is notequivalent to the old @wglextras (the earlier assertion that it is was incorrect); part2 has all the new addons, including documentation and island anims. I suppose, for simplicity's sake, you should consolidate these addons in a folder named "@wgltacops" - that's the one on the server. - The new addons are 'live' on the server. - New missions have been uploaded (tried some this morning) and more are being submitted/worked on. Update: - @wglextras has been renamed @wgltacops - I will provide both an update archive of the new addons and a full archive of @wgltacops on my Gamefront page - List of @wgltacops addons: - The 'new' islands allow for access to the rest of the missions on the server. - This is not the final update: more addons have been submitted to me and are being reviewed. More info on them soon, hopefully. - Hat tip to D.O.A. for his model archive setup. Special "Thanks!" to Marto and Zulu1 for their help!

    Hi, wuschel, Just FYI and for anyone else interested, TSC and DAS have been 'live' on the server for the last few weeks (unofficially, for now - I hope to change that, shortly). They work - give them a spin! Right now, only the sample missions are up, but, hopefully, we'll get some new missions that use them (I'm fairly certain that that's in the offing; my Gamefront page has what's on the server, in terms of TSC and DAS). I went through some of your old posts last night and was reminded that you had done Operation Matchball - in addition to pushing OFP, it just about wrecks my system! It's awesome, though. Some new islands are on the way for the server, I think I'll see about getting Libya in there, as well.

    Hi, wuschel, I post a "Recommended Mission" message on the server - the current one for the last few days has been 'Hexenkessel.' I'm looking into options for more squad-level PvP missions (I'm learning mission editing). There are tons of larger scale PvP missions on the server - if you can get the players, feel free to play them! I think I've mentioned earlier that folks who want to organize a game night on the server can do so, just ask me about it. I believe the WGL CTI missions can be done PvP, too. If you put together a mission you'd like to see on the server, let me know - I'm open to submissions like that. I should add - we did play some PvP a few nights ago. By the way, I prefer human vs. human, too, but co-op with a fun group of guys is nice, as well! Here or FDF with CiA. . . Anguis

    Hi, folks! In anticipation of releasing the pack of updated addons required for the server in the, hopefully, not too distant future, I figured I should post a list of the addons currently guaranteed to be included, in case anyone interested already has them and could be saved from an unnecessary download (given that it'd be a big one). @wgltacops: I'm not sure how to adjust the formatting in order to make it easier to read. Regarding this Wednesday's Coop Night, I'm in, too, but I might be a little late - please, start without me, if so. Take it easy! Anguis

    Well, thanks to Zulu, [CiA]Overlord, and Bielow, the TacOps server now has 1681 missions, up from about 500 this morning! What a difference a day can make. :D Anyways, not all are accessible, yet (islands to add. . .), and some might not work (anyone know why Ubuntu would recognize .pbo's as either 'program,' 'HTML,' or 'unknown?'), but they're there for all to try. Some of you vets of the old WGL groups will recognize a bunch of them. Feedback welcome. Thank you.

We have a PvP mission done up by Zwobot last year, sort of a LRRP meets AAS, that I'd like to try out (could use a little testing). If you want to check it out, it's on St. David, prefaced with "zztest. . ."

    Hi, folks, Just a little update: I'm working on updating the @wglextras addons folder with additional addons, primarily islands, but with a few extras that should deepen the gameplay options available to those interested in making missions (thanks to Zulu, Marto, Drongo, and Chops for their help on this); it has been brought to my attention that a number of islands could/should be added, thus increasing the amount of already-made missions available for play. As part of the update, I will rename @wglextras to @wgltacops, in order to avoid confusion with another wgl addon folder out there named @wgl5extra - I will post an addons list, when this eventually happens. Further off, I hope to add an additional mod to the mix (remote possibility for a third). It will, hopefully, involve ECP, if I can get it all to work. Some form of mod rotation might eventuate. Regarding Coop Nights (or general gaming nights - there are several PvP missions available), while I am not always available to host them in any given week, I am open to allowing others to do so. If you're interested, PM me. By the way, the Friday night CST seemed to work nicely for the four continents involved. On a side note, I've been keeping the server up and running as close to 24/7 as possible. If it's down, here are the major reasons - maintenance, my kids playing video games on the other partition, power outage. As always, any helpful input is appreciated! Have fun! Thanks for playing!
