Lol Guys you still arguing about pvp in arma - arma2, I can tell you bis have no plans to improve it for pvp and they never will cross your fingers for ofp2 it has more hope and looks better aswell. To many co-op players on these forums killed this game with there so called "realistic game" Do yourselves a favour when it comes out get the game by other means to test. If its any good buy it but I guarantee you it will be the same slow, buggy piece of crap it is today. It would be interesting to see if the amount of units of arma vs arma 2 they sell drops because they pissed so many people off! They lost 10 poeple I know of so theres -10 units.

I know what it is yes, but im asking is there away around it in vista so I can host and play like in xp you can without having to go through all the crap of giving people ips.

Has anyone came across this problem if I want to host a dedicated server and connect to it one of them crashes to desktop, so if I host a dedicated server then load up ofp from the same computer go to multilayer it the crashes once I click the multiplayer. This is in vista x64 any one know the reason behind this? It used to work well in xp. Maybe there is a solution or any guru can explain?

I had the same error it was norton for me the firewall was stopping me connecting for some reason. I now use nod 32 with no problems hope it helps.

Thanks MadMatt Hey. The animations won't be changed in ArmA, I think that should be clear by now as they haven't been changed in the past 4 huge patches. It was legitimate topic that was started but obviously it pointed towards one thing. I knew the answer but I wanted to see the answers of others mainly co-op players as there's not many pvp players left in the game let alone on these forums. As for the rest of your post your totally right and I already have moved from this game I once loved just came back to check the recent patches and post experiences, post suggestions, provide feedback etc. Now I will leave this thread with my last feedback. My 2 main big ones are :- Anims are poor still runs like robot on crack (Slow, confused and unresponsive) Aiming is not up to much scoping very inaccurate. Mainly long distance shooting. *Overall back to the topic arma has lost what I mean by lost is a lot of players and money the server lists says it all.

So if there are thousands of other posts about it(and there are), what on earth is the purpose of this thread? The post was, has arma gained people or lossed people since ofp. Its just turned into a complaint thread from the findings and a hope to an answer.

If you want reasons there's thousand of other post on here from day one of release of how arma failed the pvp community. Anims been the worst case. If none of them mods can say anything then its a pointless thread really isn't it just like many others on here. Answers the below post also.

Exactly you enjoy co-op screw the rest, you may have experience in arma but I was talking about the previous game ofp>arma>arma2 and how its evolving. So with your major experience in arma you will not know how successful it was in the past game. This is why your post made my blood boil with that one minded thought process of how you love co-ops, so its a great for you because the game is basically a co-op fest now bar a minority. As I look at the server list now at 16:32pm. I laugh 46 players playing Sarhina life, evoulution blue and red and domination. edit* and what the hell makes you think I love cod, bf2 and cs genre there is no other game like ofp/arma and bf2 and cod dont even come to close to what ofp/arma was like.

Why should they with one way comments like yours. There's many people on this forum like you that think about nothing else but co-op and screw the rest it bugs the life out of me. It may look like most people like co-op to you if you look at the server list lately but that's because 95% of the pvps hate what bis have done to arma... End of the day to put my point across of this type of thread I see time and time again on this forum, is that the game was not just about co-op it never was.

Your right there for sure it will be interesting to see what sort of figures arma 2 sells at. I bought 2 Arma copies, like many of my friends did one was the Czech version (because it came out first) and then I bought the English version because I cant read Czech and im a glutton for punishment. I will never do that with arma 2 so your right, I would read countless reviews and watch videos of anims and so on before or even thought about buying it. Overall my conclusion to pvp in arma is:-
