Hello to all skilled addon-makers out there, I was wondering if it was too much to ask from any (group) of you, to create a NON-WW2-, non-Vietnam-, non-standart-OFP-tank? I was thinking a decent Leo2 (without having to install a ridicolously big Addon pack like FinMod or BW Mod) or a good addaptation of a Challenger 2. That would be such a treat. I liked the CDA M1A1, but then again it had that crew bug and it was another Abrahams. Is there anyone out there who has spare time on his hands and is interested in this?

Is a decent tank too much to ask?

there is one....search for "Lego Mod" *shakes his head* I was talking realistic MBTs...not toys! -
Is a decent tank too much to ask?
Animal_Mother -SWAF- replied to Animal_Mother -SWAF-'s topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Centurion?? I was talking about decent MBTs......Centurion has 60 (!!!) 105 rounds and gets taken out with one Sabot And that Swissmod Leo2 is ok, but the texture sucks and why on earth does it have two different sized shells? 120mm Sabot and 105mm HEAT...so the barrel is shrinking when you reload the HEAT?? Also the MG bullets do a neat but unrealistic "effet" to the middle..... I like the Leo from the BW Mod...texturing, weaponary, crew...everything is alright on that...but the whole BW Mod is too big, just to have a nice tank. -

*snuggles on Avon Lady for being so understanding* Ty also @ Mr burns...but the thing is: The BAS pack will be: - big - desert camo (everused desert camo in a non-desert map?) - big - only ready in a while the T80UM1 I saw too...but that one is still in the works too, and we (SWAF) would need a decent Nato tank in exchange. Thanx 4 the heads-up regarding the Swissmod Leo2...I will check it out. -
Belive me...I have what you want to have implemented on OFP2 in RL for 9 years now....a constant ring of the ears...24/7/365.....nothing really funny. I don't think stuff like that needs implementing in a game.

How to reverse disableai "move"
Animal_Mother -SWAF- replied to a topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
can only guess: enableai "move"? sounds logic to me, but then again: OFP seldomly is totally logic -
Airdrop.sqs hmmve dissapiers when it touches

goto debug??? -
sorry...dunno too much about that. I always do MP missions, so I don't need the overview.html I just unpboed and checked one of the BIS SP missions and there it has a .paa n/m my comment then

When in a tank with a gunner (and commander) it's not your job as driver to look around anyway. That's what most players don't understand! The gunner can't move it's turret when the driver is turned out. So by turning out in a mission (other than a spectator's-sightseeing-mission) you make your tank, and therefore yourself vunarable to enemy units, since the gunner can't take a shot at them, as long as they are not at 12 o'clock. That's like riding on a bus with a huge "Shoot me" sign on both sides, with one guy straped to your bus' roof with a gun but you hold the bullets. So when an enemy turns up, he can yell: "Give me the bullets!" but by the time you passed them over, you both are dead already.

oh darn...sometimes reading helps, I heared. I was talking about the MP briefing the whole time....not the SP overview. Jeez, now it is logic why it won't work: U need to transform the .jpg into a .paa U can find .paa-makers everywhere...forgive me if I'm not posting a link here.

skul...do me a favour and pbo your mission and then tell me that it still works....

Getting scripts to work? and beaches...
Animal_Mother -SWAF- replied to Taggart's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Quite a lot of scripts are designed for SP since they use local variables. But some of them can be edited so they work on MP as well.. So it all depends on the script you use...lets see it. -
LMAO...sure...darn...didn't think of that. /me is combat soldier /me needs driver turned in Or else I'm gonna shoot him myself...lol

A bridge too far
Animal_Mother -SWAF- replied to Shashman's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hey Shashy... you coulda asked me that as well...lol ohh...and could you make your sig ...ummm....a LITTLE bigger?? LOLOLOL -
rgr...but I'll say again: Do not use that <p>...it is "pagebreak" as far as I know...so it would screw the overview up
-
one quick and simple question: What for? As stated by edc, the only thing it would do is make the driver an easy target. I wonder why anyone would turn out in a tank?? makes no sense, since you can see the same while inside just using the "scope" view for the driver. PLUS: You won't block the turret from moving. (like ppl who don't know how to play the game)

has nothing to do with WHEN you add it into the missions folder. What I said was: It just needs to be the actual filename. without any folders given in the HTML code.

Importing breifings to mplayer
Animal_Mother -SWAF- replied to GTRedskin's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
you are supposed to add it to the mission's folder (not the mission.sqm!! before you PBO it. then it should work. -
@Nic actually quite easy....I know the problem of having it ALMOST right and throwing stuff against the wall, because it ain't working hehehehe. Here is the solution: <center> <img border="0" src="yourpicture.jpg" width="133" height="132"><br> Make sure you don't use the "<p>"!! it is a page break and will screw your briefing up...rather use "<br>" To make sure, make it the same size as for flag-immages so that dubious 2n. how you actually blow it up in the briefing is up to you through the width/height settings, but I THINK 133x133 is max. @Skul I guess you are using Frontpage or some other HTML builder to do it, right? Make sure that after the adding of the picture you change to the HTML view and delete the "folder names" before the actual filename. it should read like above and NOT: <center> <img border="0" src="C:\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Users\Yourname\missions\yourmission\yourpicture.jpg" width="133" height="132"><br> Logically, the mission will look for it in that folder, but PBO-ed, it won't find that folder. Hope that helped.

Maybe it just seems like that though. -

I need help with ....
Animal_Mother -SWAF- replied to cnskin's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a second here..... I might not be the biggest editing hotshot, and I don't mean to be waking false hopes, but isn't there a way to have "in-squad"-respawning? Meaning: When you die you spawn into any left-over AI on your squad? And isn't there a way to add new ppl to your squad after they have a certain condition (something with the "Follow" command). Now if those two are possible, there should be a way to combine these, shouldn't it? Maybe some1 whos better in those things can write something about it.
