Sure. Here's a quick example how you could do that. Alarm sound included.

I was wondering if Imutep would get away with this one. A friend of mine is a big fan of the Olsen Gang (english title), pretty funny stuff. They shouldn't be confused with the Olsen Brothers, indeed.

Hehe, thanks guys! Added FileFront mirror to first post.

And I hope I see "arma" some day. Hehe, sounds healthy. LOD issue: thanks for info, raedor! I've been talking to CanadianTerror in the meanwhile (thanks again, mate) and was finally able to reproduce it, which - just like you said - seems to be very hard to do. It only happens with FOV maxed out and going really high here (no drugs involved), and even then it is still pretty hard to notice. We will try to fix this issue in case this addon should get an update one day, but I doubt there will be one until some more serious issues should show up - or, maybe, when "arma" is out...
-
Hehe. Well, not exactly. The chopper is supposed to hunt you. If he decides to take out the bridge (as well, instead?), that's fine with me. In an earlier version of the demo I even used to destroy each part of the bridge via script once you'd crossed it. Basically a nice effect, but I took that out because (as the driver) you'd barely notice it anyway. It looks like the chopper sorta misses that script, though... And regarding the chopper crashing... yes, that's correct, he's not supposed to make it to the camp at all - and I strongly doubt he ever will.

Thanks guys, glad you like it! @raedor: Hey ho, nice to seeya! Alles im Lackschuh? @CanadianTerror: Nice find, thanks! I've been flying and walking above and around this thingie for a couple of hours yesterday, using helis and camera.sqs, but I haven't been able to reproduce this issue here. I'm not saying that there is no issue, indeed, looking at your screenie there obviously is. It's just that it's hard to fix something you can't see in the first place. Any ideas how I can reproduce this? Thanks again!

Thanks, NSX! No, sorry, there is no mg-version of it. Feel free to make one, though (or use this one by Lt Damage, or the ones from the Toyota Wars Mod).

I've been making missions for OFP (1.00 to 1.46) ever since the game was released, so I know what I am doing. I am (well, was) a good scripter and editor. A week ago I got Resistance... now I realize that was nothing but a waste of money. Bugs bugs bugs. Dunno what you did with the multiplayer engine, but you definitely ruined it. Yes, I always use the latest patches (it's even getting worse). Whatever I try do in the editor, everything still works for singleplayer missions (that I am not playing, never was, never will, the official campaigns > boring s**t) but since Resistance (in multiplayer) almost everthing will ONLY work for the host, but NEVER for the client, whatever I do. I tested like 50 different mission setups, it's always the same: all is well for the host, but almost nothing works on the client PCs. There were always bugs in OFP and I still loved it. But installing Resistance completely killed OFP as an multiplayer game, it's just no use anymore. I'm not only talking for myself here, all of my editing comrades and game mates have those problems too. I only see two options: go back to OFP 1.46 or find another game. I'll chose the second one. Wanna buy my CD? Thanks for creating my fave game ever - Â and f**k you for killing it. Out.

Ofp-resistance == bug parade
AK-Chester replied to AK-Chester's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Thanks for your replies! It's good to hear that Resistance improved something for you guys, but it definitely didn't do so here and I never heard anyone say something like that before. Pings haven't changed at all for me and/or my mates (we always had good pings with 1.46 too so...what's the point?). And I do not only speak for myself but for 15 other guys I'm playing with... or used to play with... until we got Resistance. Most of them are/were editors too and they're all having the same problems with OFP:R. Hosts are fine, clients PCs go completely nuts. You're the first guys I get to know who don't have those problems, so please feel very lucky. Yeah, sure RED, me and my mates, we're just the incapable few... and thanks for calling me a liar... at least that's what it sounds like. Probably someone's gonna show up next telling me that we're just too stupid to play or edit missions for Resistance. Thanks in advance. If you're down on the ground already - there will always be someone to show up and kick you in the face. I'm not selling the CD right now. I'm still testing (18 hours a day), trying to find solutions, but instead I find new bugs, then re-install everything (each and every day)... but... I really shouldn't complain. It's all my fault. No one forced me to buy that sh*t. I read about all these bugs before I bought Resistance, that's why I didn't buy it when it came out. I just thought they fixed most of that in the latest patches, but that was just wishful thinking. By the way: I'm surprised this thread wasn't locked or erased yet. They never liked negative statements about the game here, that's why I usually avoid posting here. Actually, I don't expect to find any help here, just wanted to let off some steam... The bug hunt continues. Greetz! -

Another example: A script started via actionmenu only runs on the computer of the player who started it (local), so it can be kinda tricky if you try to use addAction in multiplayer-missions (possible though using the PublicVariable-command). But you probably won't need addAction in a CTF game...

Hi Turkish, you're welcome! Here's some links for you: Lustypooh's tutorials OFPEditingCenter tutorials OPFlashpoint tutorials Flashpointcenter tutorials And there's many more out there. Good editing! Greetz...

No idea if that'll work (doesn't mean it won't). But I guess it's a lot easier than you think. I've got a simple capture & hold tutorial with mission example and scripts that I could have sent you - if your email-address wasn't hidden. Dunno where I got that thing from so I can't post a link... Email me if you want it. From what you wrote I'd say it's  exactly what you need. Greetz!

End mission via script
AK-Chester replied to Thundercok's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
@ InqWiper: Hehe, good one! Well, I posted this question in some other forums as well and (surprise, surprise) finally found someone who used ForceEnd in the past. Looks like that command got lost or buried with of the updates. R.I.P. ForceEnd. Greetz... -
End mission via script
AK-Chester replied to Thundercok's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Did anyone out there ever get ForceEnd to work? If yes please tell me how you did it and what it'll do. It doesn't seem to force anything to end here (not that I can't live without it)...? -
Hey! uhhhhhh quickie here
AK-Chester replied to desantnik's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Oh - okay, sorry, I dunno any programs like that. I'm using Photoshop (after I've taken ALL the screenshots I need, hehe) for editing my pics too, good one, indeed! And sure: there is no BEST way of doing it, depends on many different things (most important one: which way your PC seems to like best...). Greetz! Ps.: The tool takes the pics in *.bmp format (big files... high resolution) so one will probably want to edit them anyway. -

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">this eliminates those annoying "this is a trial version" boxes on your prized screenshots, and u can control quality. <span id='postcolor'> @ Brass: I have never ever seen a box like that with the tool I mentioned above because it´s a free program. I´ve been making screenshots the way you do it before I got to know that tool and I'm glad I found it. It definitely sucked to take just one pic and then have to go to a pic-editor, paste it there, go back, take another shot, go to the pic-editor, and so on. If you use the tool you'll be able to take as many screenshots as your disk (not your ram) can take without ever having to leave ofp. No quality differences to pics taken with <pause/break> either... The nicest screenshots that I took came from series of shots taken and not single shots. Well, anyway. Greetz... -
Just hold the <SHIFT> key when you click on preview. That's a new feature since version 1.46 - if I remember this correctly. Anyway, it works! Greetz...

Hey! uhhhhhh quickie here
AK-Chester replied to desantnik's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
I use this small tool. Easy to use: Start the tool and start ofp. In the game push Ctrl + P for a screenshot, push Ctrl + P again for another one, etc. The pics will be saved to a folder called "Ofpss" that'll be created on your desktop by the program. Greetz... -
