just like James Bond does with his akimbo RPG's, magically pointing them at the ground so god can drop new rounds in
-
we need a B-3 Valkyrie imho
-
for those who don't know the OV-10, i've added some pictures: If we're gonna add arcane planes btw, i feel a B-49 should be included as well (heck, it was even used in the gulf war)

this desert map makes me dreaming of Arrakis... I'm sure you could do some pretty cool Fremen vs Sardaukar battles on it (with a lasgun addon)
-
well the "addweapon"-stuff in the init-field didn't work for me! Nothing appeared in the upper left corner and I couldn't shoot. However, when I pressed the switch weapon-button once, I couldn't honk the horn anymore, and by pressing it once more the horn worked again, so it's like i'm able to add a weapon but I can't control it, like it just takes up space. HELP!

I recall that in the Guba's scud plans mission you had to blow up a fence using satchel charges to get in, and it couldn't be destroyed with LAW or RPG launchers.

well it's not the run-of-the-mill antialiasing (like sub-pixel interpolation and Wu's algo). Actually, it doesn't have that much to do with traditional AA approaches, the end result is very similar though. What actually happens is that the 3D scene is rendered internally at a resolution several magnitude's bigger (1.5x to 4x), and then scaled down just before it's sent to the monitor. This technique can also be performed without (full) hardware support, i.e. you can manually instruct your video card/CPU to render at a higher resolution and scale down, I actually do this with my Geforce256. Needless to say, setting a higher resolution achieves much better results and is even faster!

M82a1 heavy sniper riffle (barret)

An 18 year old can buy one of these but not a handgun, go figure. I was in a gun shop a couple months ago, and a dude was picking up his brand new Barret M82. Ran him about $8,000 U.S. all said and done. The M99 single shot is the cheapest, it runs about 5-6 grand U.S. Armalite also makes a light fifty called the AR-50. Â Btw, new Barret addon worked great! Best so far.<span id='postcolor'> Why no handguns? If it's because of the concealment, well you'd need a CCW anyway, and you can also conceal a SMG. I even heard residents of MI can own handguns from the age of TWELVE, weird huh -
well will the runways actually show up in the editor, unlike on the regular islands? That would make placing planes etc. on them somewhat easier...
-
Keine ursache, zeigen Sie mir bitte Irhe Papiere? Well actually it's a bit awkward to state that firearms and melee weapons (I think that's a better name) are different, while they are both handheld, i.e. you hold them in and use them with your hands...

M82a1 heavy sniper riffle (barret)
AntiPasta replied to Espectro (DayZ)'s topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
btw, is it actually allowed to *own* a Barret inside the United States? Since it isn't full auto (no 1934 NFA violation), nor does it have a sawed-off barrel (again no NFA violation, or does it has exorbitant clipsizes (no violation of Brady Bill), i'd think so at first, but I can imagine the average gun store doesn't have it in stock and the cops wouldn't like you having an AP rifle able to fire accurately for like a mile. If so, what would it cost then? -

to recap on the bicycle thing, I heard certain Allied troops were issued foldable bicycles during Operation Market Garden

dudes I thought there were things like sound packs to address this problems...

Speaking of which, will this chopper have stealth in OFP? BTW, about the military, I've been thinking of joining it sometime (i'm 17 and gotta finish school first), can somebody tell me how to 'get started?' You know, where should I go first and what should I take into account, etc

Biggest complaint about flashpoint
AntiPasta replied to Vash the Stampede's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
well one thing that REALLY sucks in OFP is the handling of indoor environments (houses etc). I mean, you can just walk through walls and windows, and lying down on a stair also produces numerous clipping errors. Plus, going in a house sucks in general. Some Deus Ex-like stuff on that one would be cool, with everything usable and destructable etc -
by the way, I tried squashing Morton with an apocalyptic rain of vehicles and LSTs (anybody remembers Crushers from Dune?). Some building were destroyed by the LSTs (those you can enter) but I noticed something really odd: the falling damage applied to vehicles is way to low! I can fall down in a tractor from 250 meters and survive! Is there anything you can do to make this more realistic! btw, when I rained choppers, with Special set to flying but no fuel, on Morton they did explode

Uni-contry (ruskie and nato) auto-sniper weapon
AntiPasta replied to Sid's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
well i don't think adding non-existent weapons to OFP would be a good idea... however, we could bend reality a bit... for example, add a scoped desert eagle (which exists, and is powerful) but with a secondary handle (which, afaik, does not exist) -
Fn fal (aka slr,if your from oz as well)?
AntiPasta replied to 168GRN HPBT's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
erm i don't really agree on the 90 countries thing as more and more countries are replacing them and only shitty (no offence) third-world countrys will use it in the future -
great mod, but aren't the planes a bit TOO weak? They're done for after one AA missile from your addon, but when you fire the similar missile at for instance a chinook it does zip damage! And I was able to take one out using a barret m99 with only one bullet! btw it's also great fun (imho) to ram grounded planes with high-speed vehicles
-
btw, I've never seen anything with wheels in SW, only legs and repulsors

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote ([FILO] HuBBa @ Mar. 27 2002,14:40)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">A lot of people asked me to make it stronger, they said "uh it can't take out a jeep with one shot.. i want it to do that". The problem with that statement is the way damages are calculated in OFP as opposed to real life (calculated hehehe)... In reality, you stop a vehicle with a .50 by putting a round in the engine, shooting out the tires, shooting the tank or shooting the driver. In OFP the only two viable versions of this is shooting the tires & the driver since we cannot calculate a engines all vital parts. If you put a weapon that takes out a jeep with one hit (roughly 70-100 in damage to do the job properly) you make it about the same strength as a LAW (100 in damage). this means that you would take out a BMP with 1-3 shots. a T80 with 5-6 shots. and that is just basically a too dangerous and unbalanced weapon imho. So what i opted for instead, was balance before kickass. The Damage is about 5 times that of a 7.62 sniper round (50) which is a bit of a test really. It kills of a Jeep in 2-3 shots if you hit it on the right spot. But it won't do much against a bmp (unless you carry a shitload of ammo and the BMP doesnt attack Lets not forget that this is a game, and not real life. On soft targets though.. it's brutal... well.. thats my 2 cents. if you want to check out the rifle it's over at Op: Thunderbolt. Have fun, [FILO] HuBBa<span id='postcolor'> errr... i always thought bullets in OFP are either capable of damaging armor (tanks, bmps, etc) or not. For instance, you can take out a jeep (or even a scud) with a m16, m60, kozlice, whatever. You can not, however, take out a T80 with an m16, afaik. So wouldn't it just be possible to set damage to 100 and not make it armor-piercing?

well here's my list (in no particular order): Jackhammer shotgun, Desert Eagle, MAC10, better portable AA stuff, Barret m82, Spectre (hey it just rocks), maybe some russian shotgun as well, Skorpion, Colt 1911, pump-action shotguns like the M3
