i would be all for it if BIS provided us some kickbutt servers and provided more pvp gamemodes avalible for the pvp'rs .. come out with their own c&h and AAS modes .. mabey even make more campaigns for us (good ones)...also provide us with new content (weapons,vehicles,maps etc..) as often as possible .. but..seeing as BIS lets the community make the gamemodes and most all content, i wouldnt pay them to play arma2.. i truly believe this game could reach a large amount of player numbers rivaling cod5 if BIS would contribute some servers and new downloadble content every so often..you would see the player base come alive.. and for NKENNY...your apparently one of the only naive persons this game has attracted TBH!! go play COD or BF .. those suit your young dumb wants and needs in a fps... ive gotten passed the "rambo" games about ..O..idk..lets say about 10years ago.. this is the only FPS/sim that differs from any other...alls you needa do is go play the old dukenukem or quakes and you've played them all..there all the same..all the way up to now even... so what if this years "hot" fps uses a more complex shader model than last years...the gameplay remains over 2 decades old.. regards, ***1cem@n***

I would like to first point out the obvious .. The Arma2 demo is terrible .. i have been playing these games since OFP..these are without a doubt my favorite games.. however.. i played the arma2 demo recently .. and i would have to say that if i had not played ofp and arma i wouldn't have even bothered with picking up the full version of arma2 after playing the demo.. A demo should make someone want to play the full game..not make them turn and run like their heels are on fire when they see it on store shelves .. now..without a doubt arma2 is better than arma1..and mabey even better than OFP .. but the demo dosent show this .. the demo's MP modes included some TDM and DM .. now..in any other FPS this would have been the norm .. but this isnt just any other fps (and we dont want people thinking it is) and the demo dosen't show what arma2 is all about (wich is not boxed off TDM).. rather than including a MP mode in the demo you guys should have just included a small amount of campaign missions..say..letting the demo be played up to the 3rd-4th or 5th mission in the campaign .. and have the full editor and vehicles avalible .. its fine even if you were to leave out the ability to save the missions.. atleast people would have an idea of what this game / sim is about .. MY Suggestion to BIS: the MP should be cut out of the demo and should only be an anticipated part of owning the full game , not a horrible representation of arma2..include a small amount of the campaign missions and let people get familiar with what the "real" editor is capable of.. Now..iam almost done downloading the full digital version of arma2 .. i had nothing better to do then express my opinion of the arma2 demo..and also anger some of you with my horrible spelling and gramar.. ps) dont flame me its only my opinion..but..you guys know its true!! i love BIS just as much as the next hardened war sim fan!! =) Regards, ***1cem@n***

Just wait for a good berzerk pack to come out..(yes i know its "BF2ish) .. but atleast a couple servers will be packed with C&H maps .. you could always count on a berzerk to attract a pvp crowd to ya server.. berzerk can be really fun if both sides are on comms and playing seriously.. also there will be AAS and normal c&h maps avalible soon iam sure .. On another note the damn coop servers have always dominated arma and is something people are gonna have to deal with..there will always be fewer pvp servers.. on the bright side the first copies of arma2 are showing up on SOME U.S. store shelves.. and i believe that arma will takeoff for the better ..especially in the pvp aspect .. us americans are always very competitive and are more focused on the pvp aspects of most games we choose to play.. give it some time and i promise you guys will get more pvp than you can slang sabots at..

these look like the AAS maps that sputnik used to make alot of. AAS is fun if you have enough people..

this can be remedied by having the server admin turn off crossshairs tbh..whats all of this moaning im hearing? lmao

ofp,arma and arma2 can be whatever mode you want to play .. its not necessarily DM mode unless you choose so..the ingame scenarios vary widely due to the ease of modding and map (scenario) making for these games... the scenarios avalible are practically limitless tbh... you just have to dive in and play it..also dont give up the first few minutes ..get to understand and appreciate the complexities of such a game .. regards, iceman

well seeing as no u.s. citizen can go and buy a copy off of store shelves yet do you really expect arma2 to take off quite yet?

sorry to hijack this thread but does the demo come patched with the latest patch? or if not can i patch it to the most current patch? or am i gonna be stuck to playing on a limited amount of servers? P.S. OMG!! im gonna stroke out if arma2 dosent hit store shelves here in the U.S. very soon!!!

When can we expect hard copies of arma2 to hit store shelves? I dont want to download the digital version id rather get the disk .. i have searched every store and cant find it.. regards, iceman
