Just want to offer thanks and a little hope to Kiljoy who is probably sweating all the crash reports about now, so far so good on the =dB= server mission has been up 24hrs+ no bad reports from any players either! I try to discourage mod use as much as possible perhaps other mods are conflicting with mission? Anyway all well here so far! Thanks

The parameter is called CoC_ConnectTimeout and you can set that in the init.sqs or init.sqf of a mission using CEX. Here's a code snippet with a timeout value of 40 seconds that's been used in several CEX MP missions running on a dedicated server with good results: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">CoC_ConnectTimeout=40; Just wanted to say thanks this did indeed allow us to test the Cex_Test mission in multiplayer on the server!

This is very exciting news!!! In this case, can you explain how I can increse the timeout parameter for the NSA to allow us to have multiplayer capabilities with it on a remote dedicated server. Thanks

We would be more than happy to help with the testing if you like here! We have a large crew of all types of players that I am sure will push the limits every way they can. My email should be available from my profile if you would like to do so. Thanks again!

Just wanted to add how much we are enjoying this at =dB= as well! Just a few suggestions from an overly ambitious bunch but: More options would be great particularly in defining the objectives like a target to snipe or area to bomb (with AA) etc... and allowing the offensive and defensive strengths to be diffrent. An option to have an ammo / weapon box on missions without vehicles would be nice. The possiblity of assigning multiple objectives and multiple enemy areas even for one objective would be great! Like a static Enemy close to the main objective and then another mobile force around that. I don't know how you are managing to do this in the script but I love it! So many possiblities, I guess it is endless! Maybe better to make a template that others could use to define the options available to the platoon leader for the missions like those above that would be cool! But even as is it is great! Thanky you so much!

From this am I to take it that the COC_NSA component of the CEX is designed for LAN not WAN application? We have tried using the CEX in WAN (on a dedicated remote server) but we are getting connection time out errors and being told to adjust the connection parameters. With several members starting together one will get a clean connection with access to the CEX and all it provides while the others see script errors and a message about the connection problem. They can still play, but they are not integrated into the CEX and only have control of their individual squad. Members not getting the CEX connection also report higher latency issues. This "test" was conducted several times using both the Test mission provided and Battalion Strength mission you have made with the same results each time. Thanks

HI, Just wanted to say I am having alot of fun wih this mission but I seem to be the only one  I am hosting it COOP on a  dedicated server and my other clan mates appear to be able to connect but are not able to use the CEX? They also complain of lag when they have a lower ping than I do and while I am experiencing some lag not enough to render the game unplayable at all in fact I am loving it! What am I missing? Is here anything I can do to help? There is a message recived occasinally about adjusting connection settings in the game but I dont know where to begin? Edit: After a bit more trying I wanted to add that the connecting problems seem to be related to the COC_NSA object and its ConnectTimeout parameter. Those who cannot connect are informed to adjust the parameter but it is not available in any of the mission files. The NSA documentation suggests it be set in the init.sqs and I tried but am still no luck but that could very easily be not knowing how to do that correctly. Any help appreciated! Thanks for all your hard work on this mission !

ThinkTank - Persistant Servers

Hi, I have the latest version downloaded from your site but I have one of the game versions with the messed up headers and would rather not try testing this on my dedicated live server until I am more familiar with it here. Can the dedicated server be installed separately and used as a test for this? As a feature request could you please include a small sample mission / template that would help in testing the installation and showcase some of its features? I was well into the hair pulling before I found your thread regarding the Morphicon / Sprocket versions. Thanks -
From what I have read this should be coming soon can anyone give us more information about it and how soon?

Wow as a long time user of ABR I am impressed, that must have been a real challenge! I am sure your input into this could be helpfull. ABR was to me the one hope BF2 had since the costs of trying to keep a ranked BF2 server were ridiculous but in the end we found that the only way my crew could enjoy the game was from using special mods such as PR and that even wore off eventually. Thanks for being a part of what is happening here!

Have you looked into SQLite? It is a lot easier for gamers to setup and should do everything you would need a full MYSQL setup for with much less learning curve and installation headaches for the end users? As far as I know all the queries etc should just drop right in.
