  1. no jumping, but fast climbing action, not like action for ladders in ofp, that player calmly put weapon on his back and climb... Maybe, a jump action from standing position to lying on ground position, so to avoid jumping bugs and lamer things but giving to the player a new movement. (u run for 20 meters on a open place under fire, and at last 2 meters un jump behind an obtacle to get covered...) i agree that reloading while running it's almost impossible, and it's hard to do walking too... It's a cool thing and adds realism that after your X bullets, u gotta cover yourself behind something and reload...

    i personally think that actual ofp soundtrack and 7nth are cool, and they fit great in ofp, i downloaded some of theirs mp3 too

    hi, since i got 1.94 i had that error 2 times: "CreateIndexBuffer failed 8876017c - out of memory?" when running ofp with addons. im running on a amd1800+ with 1gb ddr, and 800mb reserved for paging file(created just for ofp use, just to be sure) so i should not have memory probz. I tryed with -nomap option: when game starts i see the strings "wait a moment" that i didnt see anymore without the -nomap option, but i was ultralaggy at Assignement interface... (like u put your name in slot and it stays there...and u see in allseeingeye that game is aready launched... since 2 min) i'll try more with that option, and see if that lag was only coincidence

    with v1.90 some cheats like merged.pbo work and checkfile doesnt detect it!!!!!! Is possible to set my ded.server to allow only players with version 1.91...? i saw a command requiredVersion, but there is not a server config parameter to set... Is there something to do?

    i dont agree, best technique is punkbuster. there are a lot of cheats for ofp that u cant detect: like a moron that creates tanks or exploding stuff in missions like mokra or lil'everon, how to know who is it? or a guy that uses some trainers but without showing it, or some1 that used merged and mod.weapons on a server without filecheck... impossible to detect who!!! I hope a serious anti cheat support will be developped for ofp2!!!!

    i thougth about editing the missions, or at least the most played maps...(but im lazy :P:P) what we do, it telling to ppl with 1.85/1.90 to upgrade and come back... the same we do with ppl with modified g36 and stuff (i want to believe that they changed only sounds like they say...) let's hope for this 1.92 we still have more than a year to wait for ofp2... so hear our desperate call against damn cheaters !!!

    plz take a look at this post http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=32021 we need a replay system (or better, a DEMO SYSTEM) for - cheat detection - see cool moments - see skills of players not a replay system like a soccer videogame, but demos ;)
  14. Hi my question/idea would be to add a real console to ofp. I would take as example the console of quake3arena where u can set a lot of different options from graphics settings to bindings. Some useful commands should be added, like showFPS, save screenshot, and would be great the possibility of recording demos. (that could prevent some cheating if was implemented ofp, like nofogs or ppl with modified merged.pbo,intended to be used for official competitions) let me know what u think about it ;)

    Console in ofp2 ?

    i meaned just a console for the engine of the game, not defined by mission crator, that's another question... i mean a bigger set of commands, and maybe a scrolling console (the actual is scrollable too, but not as other ones) the commands set should include functions for: - changin game settings, from mouse sensibility to key bindings (and could be more complex like /bind g "say " ) - grafix settings, like gamma corretion, detail and stuff, and maybe possible to save different configs, and load them while playing (example, a config for bigger maps, one for small ones, with more fps and reduced grafix, and so...) (and a videorestart function) -  demo recording, if possible. thats an amazing function. Recording the best matches, styles of playing, videos and stuff. (and can always be used to detect some cheats.) pleaaaseee, hear my desperate call  Â

    yeah, it will use the addons in your addons folders and those in the MODS/Addons. so basically u can keep ofp addons folder pure, with only original stuff, and maybe editorupdate, and put all the rest in those folders, or just put the addons that make modified msg...

    yes, i u can create a folder like this: X:\Programz\OperationFlashpoint\MODS\Addons (call it mods or what u want, i got one for inv44, and other with all the rest (<-not a good idea, coz some thingz make conflicts... but, it's ok...)) and in the Addons folder u put all the addons... now, to lauch of with those addons u gotta modify the shortcut with: C:\Programmi\OperationFlashpoint\FlashpointResistance.exe -nosplash -mod=MODS so u can have your ofp pure, and many addons without mixing them

    i use this trick to divide addons and keep ofp folders as original: just to make an ofp/MODS/addons folder and put all addons there, then add to your ofp shortcut -mod=MODS (u can specify also in ASE) if u want to use them

    question: can an addon give a modifed merged.pbo message when that file is original ?? coz in this file, there are only uniform and bush textures... if i see this message is cheating 100% ??
