Does that mean updating glibc is a work-around or is this the final solution?
Just asking, because unfortunately upgrading glibc is not an option here.
Thnx.
You can now download a new beserver.so with this dependency removed here: http://www.battleye.com/downloads/arma3/beserver.so.
-
The 0-bytes overwrite is caused by a bug in the Arma 3 server following "BattlEye initialization failed". The devs are aware of it.
The problem here is missing dependencies. If you check your GLIBC version using "ldd --version" it will probably show 2.13. The new beserver.so needs at least 2.15. Please upgrade GLIBC on your server by following instructions such as these: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10863613/how-to-upgrade-glibc-from-version-2-13-to-2-15-on-debian.

Could you guys please make sure you use the latest version of TrackIR? If so please send the blocked file to support@battleye.com, thank you!
-
Important notice:Since last update Battleye is blocking all extensions, so addon relying upon extensions (Map Builder, ACRE, ACE3, etc) won't work with Battleye anymore (even in singleplayer).
I sent a mail to battleye to whitelist the mapbuilder extension but appearently they haven't managed that so far.
There is no way for me to work around this problem. Blame BI and Battleye for adding such stupid/useless "security" feature BEFORE there is a way to whitelist addons.
As for now, Map Builder is officially not supported when used with Battleye running!
Could you confirm that this is fixed now?

It is still crashing for me and I didn´t notice any changes to the BE files. Which ones underwent changes? No file updates. Could you confirm that the issue is fixed now?
-
This issue should be fixed now, please confirm.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Just ignore such messages if you don't notice any issues with the game.

I was just wondering since I have the same problem of not being able to get on Arma 2 OA or DayZ SA since i cannot update Battleye as it says 'Does not suport Windows Test Mode'.I have checked several times whether the Test Mode is enabled in cmd.exe after viewing multiple solutions, and I can assure you it is turned off. However I still continue to get this problem and I think that this is caused by me using F8 after BIOS at the start up to select disable Driver signature enforcement (I have a tp-link wireless adapter to connect me to internet).
Im not sure if this is the cause, therefore can someone please help and tell me whether Disabling Driver Signature Enforcement in Start-up affect Windows Test Mode (does it secretly turn it on somehow; if so why does it not show in cmd.exe)?? Or any suggestions on any other solutions???
It would be greatly Appreciated, especially if viewed by a Developer
Thank you
Yes, this boot option does the same and hence you can't use it anymore.

Its not in test signing mode... tested this morning cant either...EDIT: test signing mode IS NOT ON READ
Well, maybe your claims would be more believable if you didn't use the same nickname on a hacking forum. ;)
-
Windows 8.1Please try to disable test-signing mode again and reboot your system: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff553484%28v=vs.85%29.aspx.

It is saying I cant launch arma 2 OA with test mode supported on the funny thing is I dont have it enabled idk why its giving me this error is there anyway to fix I even tried re installing battleye this is ridiculousWhich OS are you using?
-
what about getting some able people to battleye that can deal with these things? yes anticheat developement is expensive :DI apologize for our incompetence.

No good news for me.Im using a mouse whose usb rate is 125Hz at standard. im running it at 500Hz that im able to play CS properly.
The problem is that the driver that lets me use the 500Hz is not verified by Microsoft so i have to use the test signing mode.
Really i had so much problems with this battleye. somehow i managed to fix every error every time. i was contacting the bohemia support and was complaining about the user-unfriendlyness of BE.
but this is the complete difference. this is maximum user-unfriendlyness (if thats a word :D)
Some stupid individuals are using cheats and because of this i cannot play a game for what i paid.
I hope there is a solution. and no. i dont want to buy a new mouse.
I'm sincerely sorry for that, but this is one of the measures taken to make the game more resistant against hacks, even if a handful of users are negatively affected by it.
Using test-signing mode is never a good solution anyway (in terms of security as well). Maybe you can find a signed version of this particular driver or ask its creator to sign it?

The problem with Windows 10 should be fixed now. Please restart Steam to force the update.
-
Did that and error persists "Windows Test-Signing Mode Not Supported"It will be fixed if you do it correctly, unless you are using a 64-bit OS.
-
For those using a 32-bit OS, please delete the BE Service folder ("C:\Program Files\Common Files\BattlEye") and then manually update your BEService.exe from here: http://www.battleye.com/download.html. This should resolve your issue.
A fix for Windows 10 will follow later.

Something seems to be seriously wrong with your system as the BE Launcher fails to run an .exe. In this case I can only suggest a complete reinstallation of Windows, I'm sorry.
-
i already saw topics talking about this update causing issues with arma 2, so i already uninstalled it. problem still persist.Sorry, the above only possibly helps if your game doesn't launch. Could you follow the steps listed in the Steam thread again and post afterwards? It seems nothing was logged for you yesterday.

I have two PCs, both have (cracked) windows 7.Arma 2 CO work fine in one of them, but not on the other one. So genuine windows or not doesn't seems to be decisive.
Could you check if you have a Windows update with the name "KB3004394" installed on your system (check in control panel)? If so please try to uninstall it. Others reported this as a solution before.
-
I followed all the steps. it did not change anything to my problem.Do you use a legitimate version of Windows?

Checking the game for problems with steam.

Everyone please read the following: http://steamcommunity.com/app/33930/discussions/0/617328415066127195/.
Note that if you are using a cracked copy of Windows you might no longer be able to use BE from now on (this is related to BE's new protection).

I solved the problem, so that there are no servers in the browser, restart Winsock.Solution:
Click start, in Start search, type cmd, right-click the file cmd.exe and select Run as administrator, and then click Continue.
At the command prompt type netsh winsock reset and press Enter. After you run the command, then restart the computer.
This is only a workaround that works for some users. Also, it might break other software on your system.

RCon ping differs to ingame ping
in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
Posted
This is unrelated to the RCon change.
BE's netcode changed, i.e. BE packets are now sent/received via the game's network protocol. This might cause problems for BE's ping calculation if the packet exchange is not fast enough (due to other traffic, etc.). As a result, unfortunately BE might no longer be able to provide such a feature in the future.
