  2. Feature request: working cyclic animations Many players (especially those with aviation/simulation experience) have noticed lack of proper cyclic animations for helicopters in BI games. It's caused mainly by lack of support on the engine side. Interesting fact is that most helicopter models have some simple cyclic animations preconfigured. However, in ARMA2 You could have noticed there's something happening to Mi-24 and UH-1 rotors... yes, they are turning in various directions! Sadly, these animations are based on artificial horizon... but at least it works and looks somehow. Better than nothing, isn't it? After first gasps I realized there's something not right with Hind rotors. They were turning around some point at the lower end of rotor shaft, along with rotor shaft itself. In my opinion it's way too simplified, looks quite ugly and spoils the overall feeling - for me it looks like an umbrella. Meanwhile I've managed to create properly looking cyclic mechanism animations on my own. The result could be seen in CMA: Mi-28. It took me 2 hours to make it working properly, without chopping own tail down and spoiling faces. Since real animation source (controls) is still not supported, I've decided to use the same base as BI modelers used. There's hardly no performance hit, the animation looks far more natural than the one used on BI Mi-24.   7. With Panda's help I've created small addon that works using XEH and adds realistic reflex/holo sights. Wanna try it?   14. Turret stuff is puzzling me since Armed Assault. We can observe tanks and helicopters twisting madly, while their turret is converged on target all the time - no matter how fast (or how slow) can it turn around. You can actually turn the gun faster than possible when f.e. the tank is turning left and you're traversing to the right, and slower when trying to turn it together with it. Current stabilization switch makes turret almost perfectly pinned to vehicle when disabled, and perfectly pinned to world when enabled. Neither is correct for modern tanks with advanced stabilization systems nor for "technical" trucks (inertia force). Our goal is to have tanks stabilized a bit, and MG mounted on car stabilized a little. We can achieve both if we are given possibilities like these: 1. Turret movement should always have respect for: maxHorizontalRotSpeed = x1; maxVerticalRotSpeed = y1; the same way as now without stabilization. 2. Stabilization effectiveness should be defined by new, more useful config entries: stabilizationSpeedH = x2; stabilizationSpeedV = y2; instead of single config switch turning it on and off for vertical and horizontal movement. (stabilizedInAxes = 0,1,2 or 3) Hope this will make it some day into the game, maybe Operation Arrowhead. Issue ticket on CIT - please vote there :)

    International law allows you to have single backup copy of software. Securom makes this impossible, and when your disk gets damaged, you have to send it back to be replaced - and wait week or two. That's outlaw, but it were customers who allowed publishers to do so.

    Realistic stabilization for turrets - it's a feature request for the time "when BI fixes bugs". Tankers might find this useful...
