Anyway just want to say I have the Supporters Edition of the Alpha 3 pre-order I tried their demos for a while then stopped as I want the true feeling of experiencing the full game. So Im waiting for the actual release of game when I got this version I so got with this pre-order I got every ARMA game to date (so now got multiple upon multiple copies as Ive bought specials before) maps, soundtracks and other goodies and now the Beta as well in June. And thru a glitch at the time, for the same price as the new Beta their gonna sell. So a few of us scored :D So my point is we (family) still play the current ARMA 2 and would like to thank all of you who are still making addon's, missions and campaigns for it. I appreciate those making it for the Alpha but its still just a demo as is the Beta. And also some people may not have the hardware or the cash for ARMA 3 yet so keeping ARMA 2 alive is a good idea imho. Arma 2 is solid as is. Tho A3 works better for me or our machines. Tho most if not all our PC's are killed with power, but we don't only play games. We also love to take videos or video chat with our family in friends abroad. And for video editing and certain simulations you need powerful rigs. We also live in Tokyo and it's very very expensive place to live and go out etc. Even tho my hubby is an MD, like most even in the US, most doctors do NOT make millions, that's pure Hollywood, we live comfortably lets just say. We live in a house in the outskirts of the city not in a Apt etc in the city way too crowded there, love my job but really gotta be on your toes there. So we spend a good part of our money on electronics to keep busy at home. ;) My other half of my family are 7 generations of Americans that live in the US. I went thru High school and went to UCLA with a degree in Law. But no don't want to be a lawyer. But its how I can speak English with no accent lol! Helps with my job with you some of you good, but most times cause of my work mainly bad yanks and brits ;) Opps sorry I'm ranting again. Anyway that's what I do with all new games. Gonna just play the beta a bit then wait yet again for the full release. Its like watching previews I hate that. LOL. So when we have the time we're still playing ARMA 2. But we play less and less together as kids grow up so fast and work for both of us gets busier. Glad ARMA works purely on AI. As I'm always gonna play hehe.

Hi, Great campaign better than some of Bis's in fact ACR was sorry to say very disappointing. No offense BIS Yes you guys made the game and the tools, but gotta admit quite a few amateur mission makers here are very talented. ;) Anyways my questions are below. Btw any mission or campaign that I have trouble with I disable all other mods except those required etc. But great Campaign very professional and looks like a lot of work went into it. Good job. I have the supporters version of ARMA 3 but waiting till the full game comes out as I like to be surprised and love to experience it the way it was meant to be. So that's why Im glad that there are still some of you making stuff for A2. Thanks for sharing Sachiko

Oh no I understood that too. Imo all companies you should be doing that publicly or privately anyway. Sadly most don't give a darn. Sorry to hear but no worries like you said you have other games to enjoy. And it is just a game. Life and necessities always come 1st. You can always buy a or play a game later. Another unique and good answer lol. :D Yup agreed. Love the AI as sometimes I just like to play alone and the AI is pretty cool. And I hate scripted games like COD etc. Sorry to hear as well. But like I told Gunter its only a game. Life comes 1st. Not worth it to go into dept to play games etc. Hope you guys understand what I mean. Very interesting, funny and some sad (I really do feel for you guys) reasons for playing or not.

All our rigs (5) all but one run 2 -3 7970's. And our slowest runs 2 6970's and the rest of our 7970 machines are all Tri CF'ed and only get maybe a 20% boost oh and all are 2-3gb cards running with i7's 960-990x with 32-64GB ram. So I agree ARMA 3 is capped and you numbers seem about right with a single card, tho Im using a 6970 as an example as Im to busy to test stuff. I get about the same about 25 to high 30's range when running just one 6970 card and I would guess 15-20% if I ran a single 7970 but sorry no time I use this PC for my emails and work stuff and it has all my old games on it, including ARMA 2 with my tons of mods. ;). BTW CPU and ram makes a diff as well. Imo just stick another card in. But I think your i5 is the bottleneck for you. With our slowest PC dual 6970's with everything maxed except view distance and running at 1920x1080. Oh and be aware this rig is running an i7 960 at 3.2 with 32GB ram and both are 2gb cards.

Btw I was just re-thinking about ED's point. I agree most likely it will go more for realism and hopefully a better sim, but my only fear is that it never goes more toward the Arcade types like COD or MW3 etc. In that vein I agree its with ED that BIS is very brave to allow so many people like he said to give inputs and or opinion's. As for most of us who like ARMA for its simulation type realism. Know all too well that the COD types would love to see ARMA fail or turn it into just another console game as those kids always jump on ARMA especially with all the Dayz battles we've all seen. But the Dayz mod did just that it went payware and is now going for consoles and the Console fans are loving that, don't get me wrong I like zombie games like Resident Evil etc. But leave our ARMA alone. But I have faith in most if not all of us here that were against that and just want the most realistic combat sim to date. And thankfully BIS is the same way, they strive for realism and not some cookie cutter producers out for cash.. If they take it slow and carefully we could have another groundbreaking sim like OFP was back in the day. BIS invented imo the 1st real game play AI and that's what makes it unique and with FADE or etc no piracy. Brilliant in my view. Well like I said Im a peeker ;) but a waiter so just over a month to go till the full game and other goodies are released I hope no delays but to make a better sim I'll wait, the one thing I hope never happens is a rush job. Well ranting again. So just saying I can't wait as being a mom, wife and an LEO, we have other hobbies and stuff to do of course but for day to day etc, ARMA is one of my ways to relieve stress from work. :cool:

At work? Oh yeah I'm one tough gal. You sorta have to be being a female in a mans world like Japan. So I and other female officers love busting wise*** guys who break the law. But it does worry my family. But ya gotta do what you love right? Seriously thanks for the kind words. Yup I was a bad girl back then had my twins at 15 yes I know way to young I used to smoke and listen to rock music the rebellious teen lol. And Oh man my parents were pissed. I had to live with my big sister for a year till they cooled down and saw their grandchildren that seemed to calm my parents and turned my life around as we have a large family and I "was" the bad egg hehe. Early on it wasn't too hard my other sis in the US and my parents and other siblings, while in Japan took care of the kids while we were at school and thru university. When my hubby was in Med school I was old enough to handle the kids with help from my sis in Japan etc. Now their about 13 now. And yup even asked around if there were other female players and only one replied I forgot her name tho, Elana or something like that, but she was from Germany. I'm a motor officer in Tokyo city and most of the danger is the traffic and traffic stops same as traffic cops in the US 2nd only to domestic violence calls, yes its very hard at times but I/we got it covered we both work morning shifts so at least we get to see each other before their off to school etc. but coming home it all depends on arrests and my hubby's patients. I'm working up to be a inspector or in the US a detective and want to work undercover ;) My best friend who is female as well and she's 27 but looks like 18, works vice on special duty due to her young looks and gets to bust those pervs on the trains and subways. In some ways I know my family worries a lot especially my daughter but I think the older they get the more they'll understand what mom does and why. I agree on equal testing but from what Ive seen only the US does "Lower the standard" this sort of nonsense. Hell just look at the IDF, Russian ,Ex Warsaw Pact and many middle east countries have had woman fighting for decades along side men, with the same training. When I joined the police the test and training is no different than for males or females. I have relatives in the US who are in LE and the military. One female cousin works for the CHP and they have equal training and my other female cousin is a fighter pilot in the US Navy (she now flies an FA-18 and during training took a lot of crap from some rude and sexist male applicants most of whom flunked out lol. ) all had the same training. All you said was nothing new. Just new for the US. And look at BUD's training the fail rate is over 80% and its all MALE. And do you know who mainly passes? No not the big macho types with big attitudes. Its actually the smaller quite professional guy who has the mental and physical endurance who usually makes it. As I have both male and female relatives in nearly all the branches of the Armed US forces one of my in laws is in the Marines and the fail rate for just getting into the Marines is high even for dudes. 1st off size does not matter in a fight! Ask anyone in LE or even the military. A smaller person can be much stronger than a bigger person. Height or mass means jack and I mainly only hear that BS in the US. It's endurance, technique and skill. Im 5.9 and taller than some male officers some are stronger some not. All depends on the individual. For every strongman or woman there always is going to be a stronger one. So that's a mute point as well. And are we not only talking about a game? But in RL sure woman can be fighting soldiers most of the world has had many for decades, most all except the US, LOL! I mean really woman were only allowed into the military since Clinton. Firefighters even more recently and I agree lower standards to get em in is not only disgusting its a real danger to fellow firefighters and the people their there to save. But of all the US police or Fed LE depts that I know of , NONE of them lower standards only FF's as we do inter department work with the US and other countries at times, so far I did ride along's with the LAPD, SFPD, Honolulu PD and West Covina PD and Ive been told training is the same sure some woman are bad at the job but so are guys but most get weeded out during probation. IMO to most Americans it's too much too fast and many of you don't know how to deal with it. It's so very simple, SAME testing and training for both sexes and viola no problem. It's your politicians and people with their stereotypes and old thinking that's the problem. Time to join the rest of the world and or the 21st century.

Only matters if you use supersonic or sub sonic ammo with suppressors with sub sonic being the weaker round. Oh and Im talking about real guns not the game. I don't see any diff in the game or in any game for that matter.

For me its the opposite A3 runs better than A2 I can run ARMA3 at Full everything and get 40-50 FPS with our slowest rig. No offense or anything but doesn't it seem redundant to make a fix for an Alpha version of a game. I mean really the whole point was BIS gave us a demo and pre-order discount. For me it was a good one I was one of the few who got the Supporters edition for $76 :) Anyway my point is the game isn't finished and everyone knows that many things are either broken or not implemented etc and its not like the full game is gonna come out in 3 years or something and the game only has four missions with some user made ones here and there, jus saying why not just wait till the full game comes out. Don't get me wrong (which quite a few here do)I really do appreciate the effort and thanks for sharing, but again just seems redundant that's all. In fact other that just looking around the showcase missions I don't play the Alpha as don't wanna ruin the full experience when the real full game come out. I got it strictly to support the company and for the extras and discounts. Don't really have the time play much anyway. But hope you understand what I meant and again no offense intended.

Hi, I should have been clearer, I meant sometimes they just bunch up at the airport. LOL and yes I told them everything ARMA allows including shooting em all. ;) It may be just the way ARMA 2's AI functions imo. But yeah sometimes I kill Ken and no task finish etc. I by no task I don't mean a big banner lol. I mean the box stays greyed (aka no green box) out or the sometimes the mission would end when I wasn't' finished with any tasks. So after playing as much I can tell it may not only be on your part, its also the game's AI messing things up or the engine etc. Thanks for the kind words cant tell you how many times I get totally defensive replies for no reason and like you said a lot of tards in the yard. I don't play as much as I used to as the kids are getting older (I'm getting older :p) and both my job and my hubby's take up a lot of time (he's a Physician) etc But I used to play Outlaws and Quake online back in the day. I was a motorbike and gaming girl from way back and today we play ARMA and other games together with our family and friends, when we have the time that is. You maybe wondering why I can speak English fluently as so many ask me that. We get taught from at school here in japan nowadays but for me. I went to university in California at UCLA. My sister lives in the US along with my other half of my extended family. So works out great for my job as my patrol area is a section in Tokyo so lots of US and UK tourist's who sadly get in trouble a lot, but most just ask for directions and like to chat. We also co train at times with depts of other countries like the US which I or my family visit frequently. Anyways pardon the longish post the campaign is going alright with a little restarts here and there but otherwise its great. Likewise its nice to meet you and Ive made a lot friends from ARMA but yeah I agree totally, the majority are foulmouthed kids or like you said retards. Thanks again for the tips, advice and such. Hiya Kommie!:) Yup same here love to play the Russkies. I think I told you we have a "toy" collection in the states and many are Russian toys Like Arsenal and Krebs. Or I may have told someone else. Anyway love AK's and Makarov pistols. Wish we could get VSS's,Groza's and Bizon's. Btw is there a gun picture thread on this forum. Would to see and share ours and other peoples toys. Anyway love playing the other countries. Tho you gotta wonder everyone has uniforms and stuff that make it hard to distinguish from each other. Like I sometimes do escort duty for visiting diplomats and sometimes their are troops with them and they look just like Americans, Chinese, Russian etc. I mean the only ones that I can tell apart from a distance are UK troops as they have their unique helmets unlike the PASGT helmet which everyone seems to use, including us here in Japan use. Well at least North Korea is still using their 50's stuff. But serioulsy I hope we never have another large or world war again. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To the YuriVII love people like you are still making A2 stuff any. I'm only running the latest mods and addons for this campaign but I get trigger errors and my AI units are not responding at times. Any advice from you or any one else would be great as I like these types of campaigns and missions.

Hey guys, Did anyone else notice or experience this? I bought my supporters edition for about $20 less than it states now. Can any BIS rep confirm this. My steam library came with the Alpha and X and coldwar etc. Check out these screens one has a white background cause I used Foxit to print it. But you get the idea. And now it looks like this. Did they give me the wrong one? etc? As I did not get any of the soundtracks, maps and guides etc. I contacted support. But trying here as well.

That's great glad you got it. Saving money is always a good thing :D But I still think it was a glitch when their page crashed or maybe they were nice enough to give a discount because of the crash delay. Oh well who knows? Just 1st time Ive ever seen this happen. I agree as even at $76 and still a high price for a PC game, but yup I'm willing to support good developers who listen to their customers and make quality games and I can only think of a few this, KOTOR, Fallout and borderlands. Pretty much to me? Its mainly the sandbox games tho Hitman Absolution was good as well. But again just a handful of good company's. But all the rest of the so called " military shooters" all cookie cutter games from huge corporations who just want $$$. Their games play (single play) out in less the 5hrs at most. ARMA? Heck one can play forever with its mod, and single play support due to everything being AI driven unlike the rail riders. Lastly all other games offer for DLC's is MP maps or modes. I can't play those games as they feel like everyone is on steroids and moving a 50mph etc. Hehe sorry for the little rant and yes I'll continue to support good Dev's and have supported BIS for along time as Ive bought everything from OFP to all the ARMA's, Takeon helicopters, IF 1944, every Arma DLC and now this pre-order. Oh yeah and Fallout 4 is supposed to come out I dont when but their making one LOL I still haven't gone thru the 1st one yet now that's one game that takes forever to play. Wish I had the time. Sigh.. Well ARMA 3 runs great for us (gaming family) on our slowest PC we're getting 40-high 50's FPS with max at 1920x1080 so the full should run better. Huh?!! He should READ my post count? What does that mean? That doesn't even make any sense. And who was arguing? I didn't argue nor did I disagree with any mod. All I said was I DON'T use forums because of rude posters and that's why I only have a really small post count (13 posts total) in 8 years and just pointing out how polite the others were and how rude one was that's not arguing. Ask the other posters if I was arguing or disagreeing with anyone as I blocked listed the rude guy the moment he posted that. So I have no idea how you came to think this..I even thanked each of the nice posters who replied No offense but I can tell some of the moderators are not fluent English speakers hence why you guys may be misunderstanding me. The only thing I told the moderator was one single word understood and I tried to be nice by even editing out what I told that rude poster. Ask anyone here, my reply had nothing to do with the mod whatsoever and again I really do not know why you would even think that. :confused: I mean really read thru the whole thread all I was questioning was the price difference at BIS's store and ONE rude poster blew everything out of proportion. Yup sorry to say that's why I'm not a fan of Steam either. I ran into this same problem as you and had to buy another copy. TonyG is right if you didnt buy you game from Steam you can't buy any addons etc. Which to me is bad business and crooked as it looks like their trying to take over the gaming market by force. I really don't know why they just can't sell you a game and just let you download it as a regular digital download file. Instead of all this need for an app to back up files and all that other nonsense. So I would be very aware of that in the future when buying games or other software. Sorry you had to learn this way.

Understood and re-edited. But one only has to look at the other posters and you'll see what I mean who really insulted who. And NO I hardly ever use forums for this very reason check my join date and post count. But again we all know what HE meant. And don't worry it won't happen again as I blocked list people like that anyway.

I have this problem. I set off three satchels but the "safety off #1 -3 etc" options are still there. Anyone know how to get rid of these messages as it gets in the way of the other options as I have scroll past those 1st.

I tried a search but came up with nothing. Its no big deal but and I love his ST6 campaigns. The one nitpick is the disappearing dead bodies. So my question is did he make it like that or am I missing some sort of option etc and or is there a way to make the dead bodies stay without having to edit each mission etc? Btw the if you read this Sick1 are you making anymore campaigns of this series as they are great on par with BIS imo. Just don't like the vanishing dead dudes lol. Anyway great work. Thanks for the reply! And yes I usually do that. But nowadays with kids and such not much time to play much less figure out and uncheck (thank the stars for auto loaders) mods one by one, but I figured it out, it had to be one of the AI type mods so I disabled one and got lucky. It seems to have a problem with ZeusAI , so all's good so far and finally getting to enjoy this DLC.:D

Just ordered this DLC and every mission just seems to end in a fail or they end with all tasks accomplished without me doing any tasks at all yet. Also they all end at random times as well. I have ACE, Zeus aI, ASR ai, dapman, blastcore and CBA are the only game mods running with this, the rest are units, weapons and Islands, which shouldn't do anything, I have bought every official BIS DLC and they all work except this ACR one. Is it compatible with these mods like ACE etc?
