    Problems red hammer

I've tried both 32 and 16 bit at 1024x768 and it didn't make a difference.

Avon Lady, I tried what you suggested but the newly created cfg files were effectively the same as the initial ones and so I ended up with the same excessively thick fog. I have also since installed DirectX 9 & v1.46 and still have no change. I have turned off the fog emulation table for my Geforce2, changed cpu & 3d benchmark scores, again without results. Something that is interesting to note, people have mentioned that fog is fine because the enemy can't see you if you can't see them. With my problem, I currently have 4 tanks firing on me at ranges of 300-450m and I can't see any of them. It's very frustrating. Is it possible to enter the "0 setFog 0" line in a single player campaign mission without Depbo etc.? Also, I had noticed in a revision list for each new version that somewhere around v1.54, they made certain changes to the fog, does anyone know more about this? Thanks, Matt

Yep, sure did but it didn't help. I have already tried the suggestions on your site. I had just been re-reading the Tuning page, and noticed Ex-Ronin's method for setting the view distance. I opened my userinfo.cfg file only to find that I don't have the "viewDistance=906.003723; terrainGrid=12.500000;" lines in my file at all. I currently have v1.3 installed, is this why I'm missing those lines? Will installing a newer version, say v1.46, introduce these lines or can I just paste them into my userinfo.cfg file now anyway? Thanks, Matt.

I was under the impression that the draw or view distance could only be manually set in the mission editor. Otherwise to modify an actual campaign game would require using Depbo etc. The only other way I had found was to change the cpu and 3d benchmark results on the cfg file. So can you elaborate on how to change the view distance in a campaign game? Thanks, Matt.

I'm having the same problems as adriaan and I'm currently working through all of the suggestions that are even remotely linked. Has anyone found the actual cause and a reliable solution for this problem?? Thanks in advance, Matt.
