I have a high spec server for rent in the UK. Specs = 100Mbit 1Gb ram 1 core of quad q6000 @ 3.0 GHZ I'll let you host 3 different games but only one running at a time with fire deamon control and FTP support. So if you wanna have a Arma 1, Arma 2 + a 3rd game you will be more than welcome to do so aslong as the Dedicated servers are DOS console. Unlimited player numbers so 64 PvP maps doable. Well i can offer 2 cores a 2gb for a customer but it will cost twice as much ;) For everyday clan use of co-op missions this is plenty and is far better spec than any slot servers as they have mutiple servers on one core of lower spec cpu's. first town of domination with 8 players 48 FPS i'd say thats good going.

Download this file and drop it in your arma root folder where the other arma2.exe resides http://www.arma2.com/support/updates/file/211-arma2server_1_04.html?lang=en and away you go by running the new server.exe ---------- Post added at 11:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:34 AM ---------- For server configs check Server.cfg arma.cfg for difficulty setting go into profiles/users/'accountname'/'accountname'.armaprofile there a number of places that can help with setup of these files if you can't find em post up and i'll link you up Regards

Well we have all kind of server running and one where people could admin and select any mission they like themselves but no one used it so put up persistant game types instead. I don't think people can be bothered with sea gulls or waiting round for next mission to start. It has something to do with the Bf2 era of games where you just get action all the time with respawn which is what most people what I guess. Structured mission types are best for squad in house and dont' work too well on open public servers. Regards

a quick fix for the back pack bug without any editing is to do this load primary weapon put it to back Load second weapon and AT if you need it come out of box switch back to primary and then save loadout You respawn with all your loadouts are correct Dunno if this has been mentioned but it works fine for us Regards WOPPA http://www.Area-53.com

try looking in the RPT file see if there's any faults showing there related to missions and also your net.log file

when i pull my sight of my weapon up instead of looking through my own eye's like in arma 1 i get a parrot 3rd person view on my right shoulder which means when using trackir and can't look left cos there'sa head in the way ! How can i stop this cos it's plop console stuff.

Hi guys i'm trying run A.C.E on our dedicated server but the server won't start and i get the following in the RPT file. i'm just uploading the six_weap_files_hk.pbo again to see if that helps. I was wondering if somebody can point me in the right direction to setting A.C.E up correctly on a dedicated server as i've not had much luck with the search function here. IE : what files need to be on server and where ? Cheers WOPPA

Hi Xeno i hope you don't mind but i have a question regarding editing your ACE Domination 3.23. The problem i'm having is i have have added more options to the the Air drop menu but some vehicles classes just won't come down to earth and just float about the sky. If they do hit the ground then the Chute won't unhook and they can just float off again ? IE the ACE_Stryker_MGS_SLAT works fine but the ACE_Stryker_RV floats off ? Is this problem to do with the vehicles like they don't have mass or is there some code i have missed out to make them fall to earth properly ? ? Many thanks and love the code for domination. With the 1.15 beta i get really high temps from my GFX cards and have never seen them go so high even with heavy benchmarking. they are fine with 1.14 but the 1.15 beta nearly melts them. I run 2 3870x2 in CF on vista 64 with 4GB of memory. Does anybody else see this issue ?

Hey Xeno cheers for the quick updates enjoying domination loads but have come across a problem with the radio tower in 3.21. The problem is once a charge has blown the tower it is displayed as destroyed to some players and not others and the town fails to clear and keeps getting re-enforced by Mi-17's . A number of player on our server have reported same on a number of different servers and we have seen it twice already on our server this evening. Can confirm my problems were from corrupted upload files to server and once i replaced them it worked fine.
