Multi-languages briefing in ArmA2 ?

Hi everybody, I wonder if someone know how to do a multi-languages briefing in ArmA2 ? I don't find a topic on this. I don't know how to do with all the file of the briefing In ArmA1 we put the name of the language in the name of the file. For example : briefing.French.html for french briefing.Spanish.html for spanish briefing.German.html... ... etc How can we do that with ArmA2 ?!? -

hi all, I have another question concerning the stringtable.xml Cheesy with the old CSV file we could use the #include function on it like this : old stringtable.csv file LANGUAGE, English, French //Include strings used by the R3F dialogue box #include "R3F\stringtable.csv" It was very usefull to structure all kind of specific traductions in the mission directory ; like dialogue box ... How can i do this with the .XML file ? -

Reconaissance patrols told us enemy troops were converging on your base. Enemy troops are attacking you by North, South, East and West. It is too late moving to a secure place. Very Good Job this framework, I love it :p Congratulations to Shack Tactical :) During Mission editing on ArmA2 I was a little bit annoyed with your framework and more particulary with the stringtable.csv file... For some traductions in my mission i add some line to this file but the traduction doesn't work :( It appears that ArmA2 doesn't understand the syntax "@STR_name marker" placed in the Text field of a marker, for traduction with the stringtable.csv file. But with à stringtable.xml file, it works ! (Read this topic for more details) So, i was obliged to traduct the stringtable.csv file in a brand new stringtable.xml file. Now, I have the stringtable file of the Framwork in XML format. I wonder if you are interested in ? :rolleyes: -

Very nice campain, I love it. :) I complete the objective in the 3rd mission of the campain : "Vorkuta strike", but the game is ending ?!? what's wrong ? Ther is no other misisons in the campain ? -
Amazing, simply amazing !!! I am a snow lover and do military operation in French Alpin troops. Since I play OFP and now ArmA, I was looking for all addons that can take place on snow !! Your project is simply wonderfull !! What about animals in those wonderfull landscapes ? White wolves, ice bear, ... it will be great ! ...some white nights for a white spirit...

A lot of military troups use skiis to move in mountain (french, Norvegian, ...etc and american too of course). It is the only way to move in mountain during winter. I remember some skiis training with Seals during war on yougoslavia, and know, i am looking for skiis addons, to make my mission. But i find nothing !!! Is there some skiis addon on ofp to download ? -
The AF-MoD team (French Army Mission Development) present you its last mission : Mission Komoé (v2.0) This version of mission KOMOE use BAS Tonal island and all the OFrP addons packs. (see readme file) The action take place on the African continent, close to the Komoe river, in the Ivory Coast. The problem of the city was that we wouldn't rebells cross the bridge to attack our position. It is what occurred when we are busy to objectives 1 & 2. So Smoke has decided to use scripts for movements and positions of rebells and it's clear that it doesn't work as well as we would like ! The number of rebells has been reduced due to lagg problems, and so with the number choosen the mission is too easy. I also think that it is an important point of improvement. Thank you all for your interesting reports...

i think you don't have seen a rebell that is still alive. This problem appears to me and i have crossed the town a lot of times. I didn't have seen a rebell hide at north of the town. All movements and behaviors of rebells are managed by scripts for they don't leave their position and stay hide waiting for us. But if rebell don't see you they won't attack you, and some times they stay waiting without shooting ! Arghhh another bug report Lower is your benchmark, easier is the mission. The creation of groups of rebells depend on your benchmark. with a benchmark of 5000 and upper all rebells groups are created. With less than 4000 the half of groups are created. @ theavonlady we have other missions on our site that could be more in agreement with your favourite hero !!! ---> see below

Nothing for the realistic approach, i think. Smoke wanted to put the player at the place of an actor in a film (perhaps a secret dream of Smoke ) but alone it's true, and it's what disturbs me a little like you that doesn't make too cohesion ! The advantage could be that the player do not have an other choice to enter the action, in the way in which we have decided it. He dosen't think to other thing, only of joining his position. That could adds to the heavy and oppressive atmosphere of the mission. Not?

I think that you will have to continue a little more the mission The begining of the mission can be considered as a part of the intro, where your unique aim is to join your position near the river komoé. When you reach this position the team is with your orders. Personnaly, I would have preferred to order from the very start as you, but it's the choice of Smoke (the mission designer).

hummm, ok for this bug report. It's very strange, it appeared very seldom during the period of test of the mission. We will improve that. For the official release on french forum we recommended a lower benchmark of 4000 for this mission. In fact it depends on your configuration of OFP pref (and also of your processor occupation : verify there is no other progs that occupied the processor). The lower benchmark the mission has been tested is 1783 !!! with no lagg !!!! --> the texture has been set to 512x512. I play this mission with a benchmark of 3000 and a texture set of 4096, and there is a little bit of lagg, but the mission is playable.
