  1. Not sure if this should be here or editing, so sorry if it should be in advance. I was wondering if there was any use for the 9P117 SCUD-B, as there does not seem to be any sort of way to aim the missile. Is this the launch options purely for cinematic purposes?
  2. Has the ability to change a uav’s speed and height from a terminal (or anywhere else) been changed, as you can’t seem to do it anymore in OA. Or have the controls just been changed?
  3. I have searched and not been able to find an answer to this. When having a play with the editor on OA I noticed some modules which are not listed on the wiki and wondered what they were. Ambient civilians (expansion) I’m guessing is the original arma 2 module? (Or is it the new one) There is also Artillery- virtual piece, this is a module that I would like to know the use of. On a slightly off topic question I’m having trouble getting wildlife and civilians to generate, is it as simple as placing the module and nothing else, or do I need to add something else somewhere.

    Controlling a uav in flight

    yes I did play the tutorials, I remember before adding OA changing the speed and hight of the uav but can't seem to do it with OA and was just wondering if other people had the same problem. I think the hight was q and z *EDIT* After going back to both versions it seems the speed and hight are still adjustable, but take longer to kick in and are not as easy set as in the old interface which had speed set and hight set.
  6. ah OK my bad on the artillery, must have scrolled pass it. The civilian module is one for arma2 civilians and one for oa civilians then? also how do you get it to work as it never seems to work for me :(
  7. the ones listed above are not, as its only just Artillery that is on there. I'm asking about "Artillery-virtual piece" module, which as far as I can see is different. the same a the civilian module I listed.

    quick question (sorry if its been asked tones) but if you are running combined, do you need to update with both the arma 2 and oa patches of just oa patches?

    sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, but I was wondering how you fix wrecks? is it only selected vehicles which are fixable? I can see that there is an area where you air lift them to but can't seem to work out how to fix the wrecks I had put there.

    I mean for me its just things like, tanks which there is an arma2 and OA versions of, just upgrading the original to the OA standard which in some cases I would have thought is just a simple case of moving skins over, but then again I'm not a programmer.

    I would like to see the original Arma 2 content which is imported to OA to be updated, to OA standard for only OA users, as that makes more sense to me, as the content difference noticed more when you are mixing OA content with the original stuff. also OA users have kind of parted with money for the extra features. then again I would also like a million pound but I don't think that is happening. Still nice to see people stating opinion in a nice civilised way.
  14. yea I just disabled post processing, and it sorted out all my problems. Thus reminding me that I did the same with Arma 2 :S sorry for wasting peoples time
  15. Finally got my copy of operation Arrowhead today (looks good might I add) and seem to have hit a problem. Nearly everything is really blurry, tried fiddling with the in-game settings, but it’s still slightly blurry in places and not as crisp as I remember it was in Arma 2 (as well as seen in videos). my system specs are: OS- Vista ultimate 32 bit Intel Core 2 Duro CPU at 3.00 GHz each 4GB of ram Graphics : NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT I would provide pictures but can’t seem to find a way of taking them.

No that dose not seem to be the problem, It dose seem to clear up objects almost in front of your nose but anything around 5 meters away in the game seems to become/ continue being an unfocused mess, almost as though the soldier needs some glasses on. would post a screen shot but can work out how to :S
  17. I’m sorry to say that that dose sound like a bad copy you have there, I don’t think many people have had any trouble with editor really.

  21. I was wondering if this would be possible on the Arma 2 engine. As everyone knows there is an LHD in game (yay) there has all ready been static LHD and moving LHD mods. But what I was wondering is how possible would it be to: (Order of less complicated to complicated) All of the following would be a reference to a moving LHD -A Patrolling LHD along the coast to be used as a respawn base for the USMC and some equipment? (know static can be used like this as far as I know) -Could a moving LHD be able to allow people to land aircraft on it for refuelling/rearming then take off again wile ship is still moving? -Could the all ready modelled weapons (but unusable) be edited to be used? -(Now the big one :eek:) how possible/ impossible would it be to script an interior i.e. the inner hangar, and have it walk able and still have the ship moving? I have never done modelling or much scripting for ofp or arma but I’m thinking about giving it a try, but I was just wondering how much the engine could be pushed especially with the attach to command which I’m not sure of the limits of yet. So would any of this be possible, and would any one use it really? :bounce3:

    lol I like! Can they have laser beams on their heads? :p Now seriously I agree, though I have trouble seeing a lot of the animals in the game now, like the bore. But water seems very unpopulated, as well as trees.
  23. I been asking about this for ages, so long that I have almost given up playing arma 2 for a bit (I have not got stable internet for multiplayer) until it’s all fixed/explained and i get bored with what I’m doing.
  24. Thanks for that info it’s nice to know that it may be possible to do, and that there are people with a lode more experience than me looking in to it is nice to know as well.
