Hey guys thanks for taking the time to help me out, I'm trying to make a mission where a US SF squad raids a hotel ala black hawk down. I'm trying to get the chopper to hover over the hotel so the men jump out. I have the waypoint on "transport unload" centered on the hotel. However, when the chopper arrives, it simply slowly passes over it and lands on the grass nearby to let the men out. Any simple script or advice for getting the chopper to allow guys out onto the roof of the building? Thanks! Tyler

Is there no way to force the game in dx8? Games such as bf2 (i think it does), and CSS as well as HL2 all feature this. I run the game fine however my fathers GPU is a 5500fx, which while supposedly being dx9, its not. He doesn't quite have the cash to upgrade his pc and was wondering if there was some kind of fix (ala css) to force the game into dx8. I really wanna play with him! Thanks guys.

How did you get the AI to go inside the houses? when ever I place one inside a house hes on the roof And if I start him outside with waypoints to go in he just walks around. Advice is greatly apreciated.

Eh, its not even fun to fly anymore. Why does the key for pivoting the helicopter switch to banking it after you reach a certain speed? biggest load of BS i've ever seen. Ive done that SP mission with the AH1 and the convoy countless times, never even getting close to suceeding. Very bad move IMO, they've ruined the fun of the helicopters. But make that video if you can, I'd love to see how I can improve on this broken model. No heavy offense meant here but if you played the original OFP mission with the convoys and could not acheive the mission..then flying isn't reall your thing. Personally I look forward to this,will make piloting much more challenging and require practice,I am quite eager to see how challenging it will be to do with my joystick. I dont know where you got the OFP convoy mission from, I was speaking about armed assault.

In ArmA is joystick too sensitive and there is no way, how to lower it's sensitivity in options But i have no probles to fly with my mouse, after i reconfigured controls did you reconfigure them to resemble opflash? could you take a few pics of your controls so I could set mine up the same? thanks.

Hmmm, either you must have your brother's specs wrong, or hes not running it that good. I have a 7600 GT, a gig of ram, and a athlon xp 3400+ and can barely run the game at 20-25 frames on medium.

Try using -nomap No shit, i´ve had the same problem before but it´s gotten better since i´m using that old rusty command. edit: Practice makes perfect I've been tooling around with them for well over an hour now, it just poorly done and very dissatisfying. Read my previous post's edit.

The flight model for the helicopters is so butchered, I just want to cry. Since when did it become a good idea to make it almost physically impossible to control the choppers with a keyboard? I have the mouse's x axis set up for rotating the helicopter, yet when i go above speeds of say 50-60km/h, it converts turning to tilting.. what the hell happened to my favorite OFP choppers!? THEY'RE GONE! This new flight model leaves such a bad taste in my mouth its almost tempting to load back up opflash with ECP or whatnot.

The HDRI might lighting it up allot, but good advice about darking it. I think a nice artificial tan might be in order, unlike us in real life, these digital "us" have been out in the field. Cant wait to get back to doing mine! How would one go about mapping his/her own face in Armed Assault? ::confused::

If I were to purhcase the morphicon version and have it shipped here in the states.. Would it be a different version then the english one? would english patches not be compatible etc etc?

You should research the topic a bit using the search function, then you will find what is up. Theres plenty other sources then here, just because I'm new to posting on this site doesn't mean by ANY stretch of the imagination that I'm new to info on Armed Assault, or Operation Flashpoint. I know the reason is that BIS doesn't have a publisher for the US, I know its not their fault. The extended version of my question I guess would be: "whats up with no publisher going to the US? With some advertising Armed Assault is a sure blockbuster." Is that a more 'valid' question? Or will I be referenced to use the search function once again?

I'm in the US, one of (if not the) most demanding game market in the world, yet I sit here in the dark as to when I'll be able to get this game. Whats up?

Wow. I had a dream last night I was playing the demo, woke up and still thought it was out Bummer.

D2D is horrible. Patches dont work for the game unless they're made specifically for the D2D version. You also only get 3 keys, after that you have to buy the game all over again. So if you re-image 3 times, or happen to delete the game, or it gets corrupted.. your out of luck. Steam is a great online distribution method. It takes a bit more resources, but when you download the game you actually own the game. You can get a whole new computer and still download it for free, as long as you remember your account name.

These origions are definately wrong. I believe with the ak-47, ones cheek would be placed firmly against the piece of metal behind the iron sites. It looks like hes got the stock of the gun on his chest, and scrunched his neck down to look through the sites. Very, very wrong. Not to mention the hand looks to be scaled slightly too large, or hes holding the gun too far up. I own both the ak47 and the ar-15, and this is clearly not the way your supposed to handle the weapons.

Will an English version be released in Germany? If so I'll find a way to order it. OFP came out in Europe before America, I bought it off the internet asap, so I was one of the first in the states to have it Hopefully I can do this again with armed assault, but if they only have it in German there, I dont really see the point.
