    Ofp2 news

OFP 2 should bring improvements to graphics naturally, but most of all it should bring us more realism. Realistic tanks, armor values, handling. Same goes for aircraft and vehicles. More gunner positions in vehicles would also be great. Urban combat and larger cities, buildings would put the cream on the cake.

How come almost every time I watch the news about mid east conflict there are very, very good looking female Israeli soldiers there? Ex-president Clinton recently stated in a fund raising event that "If iraq would attack across the I would grab a rifle and fight and die" lol. I don't wonder why armed service is so popular in Israel

The right to keep and bear arms?

Guns are fun. That's why they should belong only to the military and law enforcement with the exception of hunting. But this will not work in US and never will.

    Patriotism

200,000 people in Bosnia 'burned' for world's ignorance (lack of military intervention until summer 1995). 3 years of massacre and EU did nothing.

Why does Palestine not have that right?<span id='postcolor'> Of course they have the right. BUT what if the 'Operation Sea Lion' in 1940 was succesfull? German settlers would move to Kent and live there. Then British resistance movement would go about blowing buses full of German women, children and attack their homes and shoot those 'damn jerries'? There's a big difference.

Combat mission 2: barbarossa to berlin

Don't forget that Combat Mission: Beyond Barbarossa (and it's predecessor) are turn-based strategy games with real-time execution part. They are not intended to look like 1st person shooters, the 3rd graphics contributes to presenting terrain elevations, LOS etc. poorly visible in games like Close Combat series (which are great in their own class anyway).

    Patriotism

US is the only superpower with the muscle to interfere with global issues with credible military force (with UK on the smaller scale). So Americans naturally get the most criticism for their world policing. That's the way it is until if/when EU gets enough balls to do the same...

Second russian helicopter downed by missile

To my knowledge, not nearly all Checnyans support independence, at least not a post-war government likely to be led by muslim extremists. The rebel movement has been mostly crushed and they now mount some random attacks against Russian helicopters etc. They probably have very little or no support amongst Chechnyan civilians who just want to get along with their lives. These 'freedom fighters' have already shown their true nature by taking Russian civilians hostage in a hospital and blowing apartment blocks in Moscow (dont get started about some Putin conspiracy here.) Russians have used atricious and ruthless methods in bringing down the revolt (shelling of Groznyi for example), but the Rebels aren't any better in that sense. Publishing videos about their glorious ambushes on the Internet just brings me to think can't they do anything more useful than blowing apart Russian conscripts riding on top of APCs. Checnya conflict has nothing to do with Winter War or similiar conflicts. It's a civil war.

This is shown in disrespecting other countries people or religion, skin color or whatever. I guess the right attitude for the 21´st century would be a "Cosmopolitan" one.<span id='postcolor'> I think one can be a patriot and 'cosmo' at the same time...they are not terms that exclude each other. A 'good patriot' is not bloated with the flag-waving pride of his beloved country. Instead he is proud of his roots, language, history etc. but also sees himself in a wider context as a 'world citizen' with respect to other nationalities, races, opinions etc. My opinion is that everybody who calls himself true 'Cosmopolitan' still has a patriot/nation symphatizer living inside although hidden. It can appear in most smallest of things, like being glad that the hotel you booked in has 'Deutsche Welle' TV channel installed
