    just watched the hd-trailer...yet I can´t be whining about the face models. They still look like lifeless and "plastic"...like slightly different clones of each other. See for yourself, or is it just me...     Reloading!

    How will canceling the reloading save you from getting shot, if you can already move while reloading? Â By canceling you can sprint to cover, or is it possible sprint in arma2 while reloading??

    Option to choose different face models(shapes) so that your custom face.jpg fits better in it...just more editing capabilities in it, not a biggie. Maybe also an option to add something extra to your face: (baclavas, bandanas, boonies, facecamos, scars, caps, tuques, helmets with logos/writings etc) something extra to make your appearance more unique. ...or maybe mustaches

    Been wondering why the models look so skinny...looks like the models have no thigh muscles, isn´t that the thickest part of the leg...models look like they are modelled using art-classes wooden dummy. Maybe this whine belongs to the suggestions -thread but if BIS dudes are reading this: MAKE MODELS FATTER!!     Graphics engine improvement

    I´d like if the 3rd person camera would have some bobbing and "jerkyness" like there´s a cameraman filming it document style. (Grid Race driver has some nice camera bobbing) The current camera is so "stiff" and fixed...if not possible, then maybe some smoothing when rotating the camera.

    Animations for Arma2.

    More "automatic" stances would be nice, like when AI is in cover and pinned the ai-dude should do blind fire and short bursts (in CQB)...just more movement like AI does in Brothers in Arms Hells Highway game. Helmets should fly off when shot in the head, weapons should also fall off...that´s just for now.

    I KNEW someone would notice it (acu), and someone took the "bait". my post wasn´t about MARPAT/ACU/CADPAT/ABU/BDU/NWU...it was about too skinny models, man you hc arma-dudes are picky.

    The soldier models look again too skinny and gear&uniforms look so clean and tidy +models measurements are something like 175cm/70kg.   13. I agree mostly... but the not hard to implement gets me a bit. It is indeed a simple animation. The hard part is getting them animated at the right time, the right place in a believable manner. you dont want to see ppl shoveling in the house, or frying a pan out of nowhere or other things... things are not as simple as it seems As my teacher used to say, there is no such thing as easy work. Even eating is a hard work process I hope you dont get me wrong though.. I really like the idea. really adds to the atmosphere. ...easy as taking a dump, just relax and vóila.
  14. what comes to civilian behaviour, instead of walking around like robots doing nothing (like in Arma 1)they should do things like: -drive tractors -shovel shit & dig at the fields -go in and out of buidings (more furniture inside builings: stowes etc) -repair broken cars&tractors -warm up near fires, frying food&stuff -farm animals wonder around -carrying stuff: shovels, luggage, sacks, pitchforks, farmer stuff... -drive mopeds & vehicles -children play (if there´s going to be children) AND! When bullets start flying they should find cover inside buildings & hide + shout at terror etc panic..(looks like they do flee in GC-video) ...it´s not "the Sims" life but you know, just the ordinary stuff farmers do, not hard to implement, just simple animations. adds a bit more immersion.

    What caught my eye was that still the animations look somehow robotic...soldiers all run in perfect sync, head turning looks clunky. There should be different running styles, maybe 3-4 randomly initiated. Atleast now you can reload while walking&running.

    @Inkompetent You partly misunderstood my wishlist , i´m not wishing the Arma2 should be like BF2. (bunny hopping arcade crap for 13year kids) I´m not going to reply-quote everything but here´s some opinions: - ragdoll is already implemented in many games, no need to defend arma1´s crappy engine & physics. - taking off helmet IS cosmetics I give u that but it increases immersion (some small extra things), just like the useless intros in some missions , but customizing soldier like adding backpack with nades´n ammo, taking lighter vest for better speed IS realism for me. (m249 soldier runs as fast as guy with m16, not likely) - Ability to take proper use of cover like in RS6 using the cover to the max, not standing barrel against the wall is not realistic, AND NO 3RD person VIEW! (none of that arcadish stuff), blind fire is also a thing to consider. - Close combat moves: Riflebutt is minimum, but kick is also ok. What if u run out of ammo and cannot get it anywhere, u should defend yourself somehow, add throwing rocks for god´s sake (not arcadish moves, 5kicks in 3 secs) - More armored units: I admit the merkawa didn´t "belong" to the group (mishap), but more west & east variants would be nice. - More air unit VARIANTS: like Su-25, Su-37, Mig-29, F-22, F-16, F-18, C-130 gunships... - Ditches and "holes&stuff": maybe hard to implement on ARMA engine. We all now that ARMA2 is based on the old engine and there´s not going to be even 10% of community´s wishlist...yes some improvements (gfx bug fixes, memory leak fixes...) just a new campaign and new "chernarus" units...with old russian equipment, woohoo!  Same old stiff, plastic cloned face looking soldiers with shitty animations when changing weapons etc. When u shoot a dude to the face with a Barrett , nice "wound texture" appears and the victim falls on his face...not even the helmet falls off...doesn´t feel like a war simulator. Looking the ARMA2 pictures look like ARMA1...I sure hope won´t  turn out as Arma 1.1 ...waiting eagerly OFP2.

    All those mentioned things are ok. + -Smoother and better soldier animations, ability to run with m136 or with other heavy weapon, changing weapon animation just sucks! (died 100times while changing weapon and cant do nothing then ai calmly aims and shoots you) -Ragdoll is a must! -Vehicle & soldier physics. -Armor values! (vehicles & soldiers, soldier shouldn´t die when shot on tip of the boot 3 times.) -Ability to take off helmet & customize your gear: combat vests, backpacks etc. -Ability to take cover (like in Rainbow Six Las vegas.) -Close combat moves: kick in face or hit with riflebutt. -ABILITY TO JUMP/CLIMB OVER/DOWN REALISTIC OBSTACLE HEIGHTS! (in Arma1 dude cannot go over 50cm obstacles???) - Ability to dive to cover would be also nice. (like in GRAW) -Some sort of "hiding"-values to different areas of vegetation/surroundings, like in Sniper Elite. In Arma1 the ghillie suit is useless against AI. (Ai pinpoints you wherever u shoot at it) hiding = 0% in open desert , 80% in heavy vegetation&low light...well u get the picture. -Characters shouldn´t look so "plastic" like in arma1, gear should hang more and camosuits should look dusty, scruffy&saggy and unorganized, dints in helmets and vehicles...u know what I mean, more random animations like soldiers adjusting gear, talking casual stuff to each other + combat sounds: TAKE COVER!, INCOMING! , I´M HIT...AARRG!!, MEDIIIC!!!"...stuff like that. - More armored units: Bradley IFV, Leopard, Merkawa, T-90...etc (yes, some of these can be found as addons in Arma) - More air units: fighters, helos...UAV:s... -Ditches along roads, foxholes and other "holes"´n stuff, the Arma1 world looks like golf course, everything is smooth and tidy & lined up like made by scenic architect, even the ruins look "clean"..can´t explain it, doesn´t just look "real"...more chaos! I don´t think the things mentioned here are hard to implement, or require excessive CPU&MEM power so that these can´t be added in ARMA2. So what if the game takes +10 GB installed, hd-space is cheap these days. (got 1TB)

    Military rank arm-insignias would be a nice add, like in ofp fdf. Also service branch shoulder patch (Jaeger, engineer, paratrooper, mp, artillery etc...) Maybe a small script in INIT-field. How about a new sneek-peek of the wip model?

    Nice models. They indeed look a bit too skinny, same fault is in all Arma models. Also the clothes should look more worn & saggy with straps and stuff hanging...not so clean and tidy. I hope there´s going to be a backpack included, with added space for more stuff (clips, grenades...etc) IMO it´s not necessary to include models with older gear (M62 "clownsuit", dorky old steelhelmet, Nokia rubberboots...) although FDF still utilizes that old crap. Keep up the good work dudes!

    Looks great!...there are dints but a bit more worn-out look would be nice, exhaust fume marks, maybe a little rust here and there... Keep up the good work!

    Chammys Sound Mod

    What goes to metal-theme song criticism, I just happen to like metal...of course classical works also like in FDF-mod,(Sibelius-Finlandia) and I sure WISH I still was a "teenager"...I´m waay over 30...old and tired...hair turning grey...smelling drugs&sweat...an old man...wobbly legs...with wife and kids...no life...BUT ARMA! @Uranium 235: there are other soundmods you can try, no reason to soil your pants if you don´t happen to like Chammy´s mod.
