regarding bridge building... I experimentet abit with it in ofp... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v181/uggaa/brobv971.jpg This is a brobv971, a "bridge building" version of the T55 bought along with MT-LBs and BMP-1s from East Germany during the 90's in an effort to mechanize the swedish armed forces. Never arsed myself to get it ingame though since we couldn't find any pratical use for it (terrain being to undetailed etc. etc.) We did some more bridge experiments with the IRB (Improved Ribbon Bridge) system or DB200 (Däcksbro200 - or just "Dexbro" for short)... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v181/uggaa/brotgbdb200.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v181/uggaa/brotgb9572.jpg I never got the truck part (launching pontoons into water) working, but the bridge building script worked fine... ie instant bridge between two arbitrary points on the map... not very realistic nor usefull since it was a death hazard to cross the bridge (given ofp's bugged out collision handling, suddenly you'd find yourself 200 meters up in the air) Also you'd need around 40 trucks to build a bridge, even over the most narrow ofp rivers... and having the AI handle that is simply... no... bloody effort not worth it I haven't had the time to investigate if things would work better in Arma... I honestly haven't seen any good places for building pontoon bridges either... we need more rivers! Being an old bridgebuilder myself I can garantee the rest of the community that "building a bridge ingame" (normal buildspeed) would just be a boring time consuming element. Having either module bridges (100 meters etc.) or "instant bridge" scripts for sceenery etc. is the most desirable option if anyone would ever seriously bother adding them. They are low-poly and very simple. 1) To support many units, Red Alert was all about tank-rush etc. Nomatter how good you "LOD" them,IMO it's not feasable in any other simple way. 2) I wanted them ingame *fast*. I wanted to play with them. That's why I make addons, to play with them. 3) I don't have the patience (or in some cases the skill ;P ) to make über looking addons. KISS all the way for me No, nothing has been released into the public. I honestly fear legal actions from EA and I am doubtfull about releasing this as an "Red Alert Mod". My intention is to make this as an addon-pack, inspierd by Red Alert. Sure I'll name the stuff the same way etc. I'll leave it upto granQ making the mod (mostly GUI and stuff). His problem, not mine ;P (he volunteered to take all the blame, if any) I want to balance things prittey much the same way as in RA. Meaning tanks take a few hits, one unit alone is worthless, base costs lower than the average CR CTI (like barracks 300, warfactory 2000). On the otherhand, you won't gain as much from collecting ore so it evens out (now I remeber I forgott the screen of the refinary, that will have to come at a later time). If they (a few years ago) still issued artillery officers the M45/B (Swedish SMG known as "The Swedish K"), they surely still use the PBV501,401 and 302 for some godforsaken purpose

I get this strange error after OFP Crashes to desktop after I put tried to spawn a helo with the createvehicle command... The .cpp is out of order for the helo in question (it doesn't show up in the unit lists) so I tried to use the createvehicle command... then OFP crashed with this error. A CTD would be the most "normal" thing, but this message freaks me out
