You guys, and ladies -- are the best

I just wanted to say thanks a million to all of you MOD'ers, Add-On creators, Moderators, and anyone else I missed for some of the best darn MP/SP Missions, Add-ons, Tutorials and words of wisdom which have helped not only me, but trillions of others out here in OFP land. I personally know of two or three hundred extra-terrestrials from outside our galaxy that start every solar day with a rousing multiplayer game. Hip Hip Hooray!!!!! No - I haven't been into the eggnog -- yet... : ) Uncle
  4. Hello -- I've downloaded a Mission called Paratroopers V 1.02. Each time I try to load the mission it asks me for another add-on... First it was SEBPara***, then RAFCH47D, and now it needs STTDESSOLDIERWGL, and others with other three or four letter suffixes like -- ""WLAW etc. Any ideas? Thanks Uncle

    Looking for addon sttdessoldier****

God Bless you. Now do you know where I can find the Gtfag3 add-on as well? I've searched... Thanks Uncle
  6. I did a search for info on these, but couldn't come up with any ideas... I also thought that this might go in the Add-ons Forum(s) but wasn't too sure, so I apologize if it's in the wrong section. question: I've been downloading a lot of add-ons/mods etc -- and I see that some of them come with Config.cpp and graphic files, mostly jpg’s... Along with following the add-on designer’s recommendations to put the .PBO files in the Add-ons directory, should I be putting these Config. and graphic files in any specific directory? Or -- are they just there for comparison? Please advise.

  12. Hello to all. It's been a while. I’ve researched this topic on our web site, and could not find any relevant info on same, so I’ll pose the question to you all. First off -- Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. Oh -- by the way I've written to Santa, and asked him to bring everyone on this fantastic list, extra gifts this year... So don’t be surprised if you find a lovely Blond, Brunette, Abrahams MA1A– or something other that you desire under the tree. Notice that I didn’t say Blond or Brunette what, that’s up to you. BKGRND: I've been mainly using the Mouse and the Keyboard as my input device of choice for OFP/Resistance and the like. I also have the MS SideWinder Pro joystick which I haven’t used too much, as of yet. I recently picked up a MS Sidewinder Wheel and a Gravis Eliminator game pad to complete my input selection for games and other programs… QUESTION: Has anyone had any experience with setting up OFP to work with anything other than the Mouse/Keyboard? I’ve tried flying some of the aircraft using the keyboard, and the joystick with limited results. I.e. I can land with most of the BIG parts, but the little ones get lost in the crater that I make when I land... How about the Gravis? Has anyone tried this device? Please help – as My Commander won’t let me fly or operate any more vehicles until I pay back the motor pool and Base Ops for all the scrap parts I have lying around. P.S. This also goes for input devices like the Gravis Game-Pad being used for Troop movement, and other such things. Thanks in Advance. Uncle Ho Ho Ho? : ) enjoy
  13. Hello -- I did a search on this one... I have imported some of my 3D Max model files into O2 and they load ok. I am able to apply textures to some of them and they can be viewed in Bulldozer. But when I load some of the other imported files, (which have been saved as p3d's too), and try to view them in Bulldozer -- they don't show up. Additionally, sometimes there is a grey cube that shows up in the viewer that can be zoomed in, just before Bulldozer crashes. I checked the files sizes and that's not it. I've followed all the recommended O2, and viewer installation instructions... Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Uncle

  15. Hello -- I was wondering after seeing the O2 Light pull-down menu called Surfaces->Unwrap... Question: Is this a feature for taking a selected section of the 3d object and creating an outline in some file format -- that we can paint ourselves? Thanks Uncle

Can we un-wrap a selected surface to a gif

Hi -- I tried to use that function -- it was recorded in one of the three windows on the right, but after a search I couldn't find any files. or tell-tales of what went on... Thanks Uncle

  19. I am trying to get an idea of the how they built their 3d objects... How come then after I unpack/decrypt these OFP CWC and Resistance files, I can't load them into O2 light? I've used different decrytion programs to no avail. Please advise. Thanks Uncle

  21. I figured it out... Ă‚ The p3d files that I can load into O2 are MLOD and the ones I can't are ODOL... Ă‚ Now I have to search for info on ODOL - > MLOD converters if there are any... Ă‚ Uncle.

Why do some objects show up in the external

Is there any logic to where we place the 3d objects in regards to the Grid -- so that they show up in the external viewer? Thanks Uncle

Can we un-wrap a selected surface to a gif

*bump* Some 3d programs allow one to unwrap parts of the 3d object I guess to UV coordinates so that the user could paint inside the lines to make their own textures and then rewrap them... Any ideas. Thanks Uncle
