I appreciate the feedback, thanks.

Could we get an update from anyone running a League server. Performance issues? Lag? Support drama? Thumbs up? Thanks.

And I have to say, as a member of the USEC beta test team, the frame rates remain great on this awesome add-on and she flies great too. This is probably my favorite add-on that Rocket has conjured up.

I was just thinking that today - so seconded.

Perhaps so Rommel, but that is considered war crimes by that same convention. My point was that no soldier in a force that signed that treaty "should" use it. I know full well what goes on out there, I'm still serving.

@seany - I can assure you that no NATO force or any other force signed up to the Geneva Convention of 1949 will use AT versus infantry unless it was their minimum force and they were in a life or death situation.

Your new card will, most probably, work just fine - but first check the following (may seem obvious, but sometimes it's not so..): - Updated drivers for ATI - Clean inside your case as best you can and, in particular, dust out the heatsink and fans. Nothing better than a bunch of hot air with nowhere to go to stop a graphics card in it's tracks. - Some good old hard disk chores: defrag, turn off excess processes like antivirus, firewall, defragger (once you've done it! ), etc. Based on the specs you posted, you should be fine if your at 30FPS, but have you tried it with all the specs turned way down, to see if you can replicate it.... Finally, the AI really tax the processor over the graphics card, hence I mentioned cleaning the heatsink and area around it carefully. I hope you manage to get it running Stu.

No, it doesn't work. Z is the same as 0% thrust on the joystick and so I can't rearm next to the truck with a brake on. Any other idea's are greatly welcomed!
-
Right, that might be the key as I'm using a joystick with a slider for throttle control, brake deploys automatically as I lower the throttle. I'll post back if the 'Z' key works, thanks.

Sorry to surface this thread, but I've searched extensively for a fix to this. I know ArmA has a little bug with rearming choppers and you have to leave one round in it tfor it to work, plus have the correct style ammo truck loaded with helo ammo. Anyway, in devils cross there is only one ammo truck back at the airbase and I cannot for the life of me rearm. Refuel and repair work fine, but you can't get out of the aircraft once your in it, so I can't even move the truck closer or whatever. It just doesn't do anything. In the AH-1Z I usually pull in 50% power until I am skids light and it begins to re-arm. Of course, in the A-10 I cannot do that as you roll forward and I am unsure if a brake exists for the A-10? Any help would be appreciated.

I've read most of the responses here and agree with some of you, possibly the ones who have been out there themselves sometime. This FF incident was a part of a danger close mission, so troops from both sides were within 200 metres of each other. There is an inherent risk in these missions that the commander on the ground takes when he calls in these missions. So it was life or death out there and by calling in the mission, the F-15 pilot may very well have saved more lives than he killed. It's a hard job, somebody has to do it and the soldiers all volunteer in the British Army. They know the risk and deal with it, it's a tragic incident but yesterday alone, F-15's and other CAS suitable aircraft will have saved more lives for the Brit's out there than they killed in the incident and I think most guys who have been there will tell you that without a doubt.

Second that, Razr Copperhead works fine for me too and that's on win XP native drivers still after a fresh OS install because Vista blows. (sorry, off topic on that bit.)
-
Alternatively, use 7-zip. It's much, much better than winzip or winrar and uses much less resources.

Bad Strain Mission Pack Released
tutmeister replied to -10thMT-Tack-Up's topic in ARMA - USER MISSIONS
I liked this mission. No problems encountered! -
I'm using Vista Ultimate and I run this game pretty fantastic on a medium to high system: -3GB DDR2 5300 RAM (2GB runs it fine too, I use photoshop professionally, so require RAM for that) -eVGA 7950GTX 512MB videocard -ASUS P5L2 motherboard using onboard sound! -normal S-ATA hard drive. What I've done is a fresh install of Arma and then patched it up to 1.8. In windows vista, I run Aero, but I've disabled the following services: -windows search.(so it takes a few more seconds when searching...) -routing and remote access. (i don't need it, you may.) -secondary logon.(again, I do't need it and it wastes memory) -windows defender.(I use 3rd party software: spybot and ccleaner) -windows media center extender service. On the rest I've gone through and set most to manual, so they start when they are needed and not when windows starts. So if you do a fresh restart and then play ArmA, you'll only get services online that are neccessary. Now for the biggie IMHO, I use a piece of software called FSautostart, which defrags my RAM and places ArmA as a high priority process on startup of the game. You have to create a profile in the software, it was originally designed to aid users of flight sim, hence the name. FSAUTOSTART With all the above, I run ArmA on high settings with 6000 metres visibility and get a steady 40-50 FPS, which I'm very happy with.

Bit late, but Unity Security Force is a realisitic Virtual Military with members mainly focused in Oceania, but also all over the rest of the world. Missions happen once a week, with training whenever you want. Teamspeak is used and we have custom missions that are very good to play.
