geez, the level of politeness on this forum is really appaling. the guy was trying to help you. maybe he made a mistake, or jumped to conclusion about euro-us version, but thats no reason to yell or tell someone to go away. that will not solve your problem.

mine is 507,8 MB... well, i cant remember the last time i was so excited downloading something... hmmmm.... well, really, i do remember. better not say what it was, though
-
very good work. good to see some familiar units in the game. odlicno, sjedi, pet M70AB model would be a nice addition . all in due time.

Truuu... Traaa.... Trot? ... Nope, that's not it.... ah, sod it - BANNED! good one. you can say I was asking for it. but, really, most hackers use weird characters as an effort not to get kicked out. one time, admin just couldn't reproduce the player name with ``˛˘^°˘°˛^#"$ or whatever in it to kick the guy off. and it's something like truut (or troot) stands for "male bee" in croatian. you know, the lazy f*ck that doesn't do a thing

i'd ban him just for that if I can't pronounce your name over TS, you're out :D:D

great idea about reinforcing columns, I dont like that "spawn before my eyes" concept. it ruins a lot of atmosphere created. just be careful that the columns do not all go over that big bridge south of bagango, i think. its easy to sabotage the whole idea by taking down one or two bridges. well, this brings me to another point. the bridges are obviously key infrastructure points, just like in real combat. why not make them heavily defended with armor, checkpoints, static MGs, AA and AT soldiers... I assume in real war situations those bridges would have a big checkpoint at either end. this could bring yet another twist. "there's a column coming in from pita, sir, if we could, just take down that heavily defended bridge in corazol, and we're saved..." I totally agree with KenO. the global mechanics of the mission are great, it is a great "global war" mission. after the addition of reinforcing columns idea, I don't think there is a need for any more new ideas on a global level. but there is still room for improvement in "micromanaging" the units. units placement inside buildings, on patrols, in realistic checkpoints, ready for combat would bring much more immersion and realism. nothing like a sniper on the roof . even if you've seen it in all the movies... or a dug in t-72 near the crossroad or a checkpoint. also, some more cooperation between units in the same town. for instance, when a blufor enemy is spotted its only natural that some troops two streets away will come in running, while the others will just dug in and wait for you. but not with thumbs up their butt as someone put it -
ah, cheaters, my favorite kind of people online... you can only be sorry for them. no matter how hard they try, they just cannot come up with a cheat to solve their problem. no cheat will get their tiny p****es bigger

i just checked the old forum topics and of course that "real everon" is old news... last week i was spending a weekend at the sea with a couple of friends and the two of us had laptops with ofp installed. we had a couple of quick lan games on the terrace of the house that had a great view od real Everon. its great to have it back. feels like returning home. I've never been a big fan of Nogova, though. always looked artificial to me, with that river in the middle.
-
yesssss, good old Everon. i just love that island. btw, I don't know if this has been posted before in the ofp section, but has anyone been to the Krk island in Croatia (my homeland)? another, more detailed Krk map looks familiar? even the airport and the towns are in the same positions. that was one more reason to loooove OFP. I remember opening Everon in editor and that feeling of deja vu. I guess Spanel brothers went there for a summer holiday so, if you want to see what real life Everon looks like, you know where to go.

try to avoid that one

no, no, don't remove them, if you're referring to my post. i just meant I'd like to quote that picture in my post. because it looks great and deserves a repeat. and a repeat.... and a repeat... posting pictures is ok, of course. just quoting is bad. and unneccesary. sorry for the misunderstanding. really, this looks so great, BIS should take a look and put your flying scripts in the game. you have clearly outmastered them great work.
-
this harrier pic makes me sad that quoting pics is forbidden here. *bow down to the script master* how bout BIS including your scripts instead of the original ones? AI is pretty much uselles at flying now. and more than one AI chopper in the area is a recipe for disaster

why dont we all just call it ACE? well, enviroment is mentioned about 10 times on his site, element once. i guess its a typo. and since mr. d himself said here its enviroment... "What's in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet"

yeah, teach that Dslyecxi guy a lesson about Dslyecxi

no you didn't. the creator has repeatedly asked everyone not to modify his mission, at least until it is fully finished. not respecting his wishes is not giving credit or respect. respect. familiar with that word? -
can I be the drunk on the street in front of the shop in ortego? nice, sunny climate, no harsh winters to worry about. a paradise for a bum cheers!

I am not near my ArmA copy so I cant try it out now. pozdrav Sloveniji

Inadvertant Ejection : Mogadishu, Somalia 1990 A young Somali boy was poking around a Somali Air Force hangar shortly after the military had abandoned its base at Mogadishu. Chaos was running rampant in the area, as feuding rebel warlords were fighting for control, starvation was prominent and the UN peacekeeping force had not yet arrived. The curious Somali teenager hopped up into the cockpit of one of the abandoned Mig 15s in the hangar and undoubtably proceeded to fulfill his fantasies as an aspiring fighter pilot. Unfortunately, he encountered more realism than he desired when he pulled the ejection handles and immediately found out that the seat was one item in the dysfunctional aircraft that still worked. He proceeded to get the ride of his life as the seat fired, and a few milliseconds later he was airborne and rapidly heading toward the wild blue yonder. Unfortunately, there was a hangar roof between him and the sky, and he never took the opportunity to strap into the seat as he was playing aspiring fighter pilot. As he approached the hangar roof, his body gradually drifted apart from the seat and achieved sufficient lateral separation to avoid coming to a rapid halt as the seat impacted an overhead 12" steel girder support beam, putting a serious deformation in it. Our flying Somali superboy fared only slightly better, as his body was undoubtably bashed and shredded as it punched a hole through the sheet roof and landed on the tarmac outside the hangar. from ejectionsite.com a plane does not know you're in a hangar when you pull the eject handle

okay, entertainment software it is. i like the way this piece of entertainment software doesnt let you fly on after you've taken one in the tailpipe. and think it should not be changed. cause that's entertainment for me. cause its a bit closer to reality than an almighty armored charriot in the sky. someone else does not find this entertaining. its not fun getting shot down. i want fun, i bought the game. okay, use some tactics while flying. be careful. don go in rushing things. if you want to be god simply because you got your pilot patch, there are other pieces of entertainment software for that. please, read the post, don't nitpick about semantics.

I really dont get the point of that last reply. I meant to say that a game wanting to be a combat simulator should not be made easier for people whose idea of combat is "riding in a M1A1 from Kuwait to Baghdad" in one go because its "fun". and as much as someone wants "arma light", i really don't want it. don't eat bigmacs. ever. i prefer rubelj. edit: and, yes, regarding the marketing remark... when I am president, the marketing people will be the first ones to go. one-way train ticket for them...
-
disagree, big time. arma is advertised as a "realistic combat simulator". not a "fun combat simulator". war is not funny. and thats my idea of fun

ooookay, I've just seen Evolution 1.5b on a public server. Is the new version out for testing or has someone been naughty?
