  1. Microsoft have released a Vista Perfromance fix pack. see: http://www.extremetech.com/article....0000532 Fixes include some Vista Memory Management tweaks and a fix for 8800 users. I'm at work, but wondering if any of you guys have tried these yet and if they make Arma run any better on Vista?
  2. Have just spotted that Nvidia has released new forceware beta drivers for Vista 32 & 64. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_162.22.html Has anyone tried these yet? I'm hoping the fix listed as "Increased Total Graphics Memory under Windows Vista for GeForce 7 and 8 series GPUs" helps in Arma especially with 8800 cards. They have also released 163.11 betas but these seem to be targeted towards the "World in Conflict" beta. Reports on these drivers most welcome.

    Fix for Intel Core2 processors

Hmmmm, since installing this update my rig is running 6deg cooler in idle. Down from 50deg to 44deg.... Wasn't expecting this as a side-effect... if related at all. Happy anyway

    Shutting ArmA down

I had this issue but it was rectified by using the -maxmem=512 startup parameter. I also found this cleared up a number of texture problems and all my crashes to desktop. It limits the amount of RAM arma will use so it may impact performance a bit, but i've found it now provides a more stable experience. There's a post on this issue on the bugtracker site: http://bugs.armed-assault.net/view.php?id=2091
