I'm trying to make a Pioneer TUAV, and have hit a bit of a wall. Is it possible to have a turrent on a fixed wing aircraft?

OK I'm new here and at the modelling game. Havn't asked too many dumb questions yet just kept reading things till I got it all to work. Problem is now I'm working on my first mod, a D-30 122mm gun, and when I fire it it skids across the ground a bit. Any tips on how to fix this??
