Ok, I went to a site that had some cheat codes. THey explain how to use them while playing in campaign mode.... Now here is my question.... They claim this, quoted: "NOTE: It's important to note that using any cheat code for Operation Flashpoint will activate the FADE feature. This will result in reduced weapon accuracy, problems loading, until eventually your computer will not even recognize the CD in your drive. Once this happens, you have to uninstall the game, delete the OFP folder and clear the entry from your registry in order to play the game again. (thanks: Troy Kochner)" Is there any thruth to that??? Will codmasters blow away my "Legal store bought" copy if I use a friggin cheat code?? If so, what kinda crap is that?? Ok, cheating while playing the first time is kinda stupid. But if I finish the campaign and want to just activate "god" mode and have fun, why cant I do that? Why would they go and blow up my copy? Now, I just read the manual and it does say somthing about fade mode and Illegal copies... But that does not apply to me, I purchaced the dam thing... However, there is nothing in the Licence aggrement about using cheat codes..... Please let me know, before I try any cheats. Thanks. -T

Thats my point, very misleading ("Upgrades and Addons: 18 masive single and multiplayer standalone missions"). PS, Never buy any software at "Best Buy" because they have a no open package return policy. I would have taken it back, but break the seal and it's yours.... Buy things at Babbages, Software Etc, Electronic Bouti, etc...... If it suck's or does not live up to the hype, then you can at least take it back (within 10-15 days depending on the store). "Best Try" just sticks it to ya, those Bastards..... -T

Yes, I did get a guide, and the soviet campain.....But, no, I did not "Buy any new single missions" (as claimed on box) Yes, I did get a "box, CD, etc". Give me a break.... The guide is, hmmm, no comment, and I did'nt lay down the cash for a guide, only the new missions (both campaign and single). If I new that I was only getting the soviet campaign, not any new single missions, I could have waited (for price to drop). I'm still playing the original campaign so I was in no rush to purchase the Gold upgrade.... What pushed me to get it (Gold) sooner was the claim of "new Single missions". Whatever, I will be carefull before I buy another upgrade product for Flashpoint (at least wait a few for prices to drop). It's such a shame. Point is, the Gold box and it's claims are very misleading. It never said "you are buying a product in which several of it's components are free via download" (the single missions). But please, (the few who defend them) eat crap, you can't dispute the facts! Box says, New soviet campaign, new single player missions, and players guide. I only got 2 out of the three (what I paid for). Oh well, you live and learn. Hey, maybe I can make a bird feeder out of the lovely box and use the players guide to wipe my butt the next time I take a dump... End of discussion -T

Hi there, I won't get into the flame war on the oxygen deal. But I do have one grip. First off, Flashpoint is a great war sim and I have no beef with the game (hats off to the coders). However, I don't appreciate paying for an upgrade that does not deliver on what it says on the box. Let me explain.... Yes, I do get the new soviet campain, but I DO NOT GET ANY NEW SINGLE PLAYER MISSIONS AS CLAIMED ON BOX!!! (They are given away free here). The "so called" new single player missions are given in the downloadable "free" upgrades. Tech guy said, oh, you bought an earlier version....SO?? Whats your F'ing point? The Gold Upgrade box says I pay for soviet upgrade and some "NEW" single player missions.... Ok, I have the single player extras (from the free updates) but I think they should have lowered (adjusted) the price of the Gold Upgrade if they are giving those "EXTRA" single missions away for free. I should have had the single missions from the original purchase and maybe some from the upgrade patches BUT there should have been several "extra" (Gold Upgrade Only) single player missions! It didn't say on the box "the single player missions upgrades on the Gold CD can be downloaded for free", Nope. Honest mistake? Greed? Misleading? WTF Ever.... I feel ripped. If they are a honorable company, they should whip up a few single player missions and offer them to Registered Gold users only... Hey, we payed for them. The ball is in their court now, lets see how they respond. Word of warning though, gamers are fickle and dont like getting the screw.... Gamming CO's rise and fall very quickly by how they treat their customers.... The saying goes, YOUR CUSTOMER IS YOUR BEST SALESMAN. So, I hope they do the right thing. Ok, I bitched, I'm gonna go play a mission now....Night. -T

Ok, I just purchased the Gold Upgrade. Yes, it has the new campaign (hurray), but when I look at the single play missions, they are no new ones.... I checked the original CD and yes, the massive battlefield and other single missions are not on there.... I checked the on the gold upgrade CD and see the new single missions.... However, I have those already, after downloding the patches 1.30/1.40/1.42.....etc... What the h#ll??? It seems the the Gold upgrade only gives me the new campaign, but the so called "6 massive single and multiplayer missions" were already given to me via the patches???..... So why did I pay for the friggin upgrade (expecting both campaign and single missions)? Sure, I got the new champain (no complaints) but no extra single missions like you advertize on the box.... If you guys are giving them away after charging for the upgrade, thats bad bussiness!!!! Unless there is somthing wrong with the install (I counted 18 single player missions before I ran the Gold upgrade) and still have only 18..... Hmmmm...... If it's an installation problem then I'm fine with that... Just tell me what to do to bring up the new single missions.... However, if I paid for the new single missions and you guys are giving them away, im a tad p#ssed off!!!! Yes, I am happy to get the new campain, but no, I'm not happy that I thought I was getting somthing new (as said on the box) and didn't....... If anyone knows about this please let me in on it. Thanks -T
