    It's a different issue. The thing people are talking about with these is not accuracy, but the range at which the units will engage an enemy. These units will apparently engage at around 1000m, which is further than some of us have our view distance even. IIRC BAS units fire accurately, but engage at ranges closer to the standard OFP soldiers.

  6. I mentioned this over at OFPEC, but not sure whether you're monitoring that bit for bugs... First off, fantastic work, they look great, cool weapons. I have no military knowledge whatsoever, but I'm going with BAS opinions on it all quite happily My problem is that when I fire the MP5SD AIMPOINT in the delta woodland demo mission, for every round I fire I hear 6 rounds being fired at roughly 1 second intervals. Gameplay continues, and the ammo count is still right, so it doesn't seem to be a slow down thing. Doesn't bug me really, but I thought you might be interested... Cheers, Teeps

    Random crashes + speech problems

    I had the repeating speech problem, and I have VIA AC97 onboard sound. I downloaded the latest drivers (not the 4in1 or BIOS, but the AC97 drivers, find them at www.viatech.com under audio I think) and now everything is fantastic again. And I just noticed the sun glinting off the water on Malden, cool! Teeps

I've had OFP for a while, haven't changed my system, except keeping roughly up to date with Detonator drivers, and now all of a sudden I'll be playing (SP) and a bad lag will set in, i.e. you move the mouse, and two seconds later the screen responds.  This makes it hard to shoot people  So I looked at TweakME, and with nothing other than OFP running my entire 256MB of RAM was gone, optimized it in tweakME, and then played again, and when I checked tweakME again, it was eating into the reserves again. Now the only things that I've changed is having more add-ons downloaded, so the questions I ponder are a) could add-ons cause a memory leak? b) does OFP itself have a leak (version 1.46) c) is there a recommended maximum number of add-ons? Oh, nearly forgot, system is 256MB, 1.2 GHz Athlon, WinME, Geforce 2MX 64MB, but like I say this hasn't changed, and the problem has only recently appeared... Any ideas? Teeps

    Official approval for addons

    OFPEC already run an approved contributor sort of scheme to prevent conflicts between different addons, and rate ach addon submitted. I would go there for my add-on needs. Teeps
