I stand corrected: IT IS A HEATING PROBLEM!!!! Card was running around 90C when under load, the default fan settings weren't strong enough to cool the card. Seen other people running at this temp with no problems, but it seems this card cant take the higher temps. Created a custom fan profile using MSI Afterburner, ramps upto 100% fan speed at 85C (100% is real LOUD), no more crashes. In two minds now about returning the card or just sticking with my custom fan profile.

I have tried default settings and the same result. Its not an overheating problem as my temps are fine and have no problems in other games that stress the card

It's extremely annoying when it happens. I was almost giving up on the game until there was a new driver or patch, but with the flush command it makes it kinda bearable. What graphics card have you got

I can alt tab out and in with no problems. However whenever this happens the game is still running but I can only see the desktop. When I click my mouse I shoot, when I alt tab out I can click on the desktop as normal. The only way I can restore the game without restarting is by using shift & num - and type flush. This makes me think it must have something to do with the video memory

When playing OA it minimizes to desktop every 1/2 hour. When it is minimized I can hear the game playing and interact (shoot) however I cannot maximize the game unless I flush the video memory. I have an ATI 6970 with 11.2 drivers Video Memory is set at very high I have tried older driver version (10.9) and still same result. Anybody any ideas?

What driver is your buddy using, I am using 11.2 with the 6970 and keep getting the minimize to desktop crash

Did you use any AI mods (zeus, gl4 etc) when u played through the campaigns

SLX does look good, although I hear there can be compatibility issues with it. Maybe I should have a look at A2WARMOD as that seems to be a good attempt to consolidate all mods into one package. It appears to have been tested on an earlier version of Arma and does not have blastcore. Maybe I can change it about to my liking. Question then is do I go with ACE or not

I have been replaying the single player campaigns (Starting with Harvest Red). I have been playing through with my must have MP mods: ACE CBA ACRE* Jayamra2lib* Blastcore JTD smoke True Mods STHud JSRS sound mod Zeus AI (Server) *Obviously ACRE and Jayarma2lib are MP only But have been wondering if anybody experienced issues with mods on single player e.g. scripted events not working etc What have been peoples experiences with: ACE and SP - does it add to the single player experience? AI Mods and SP - do they break anything Is there any must have SP mods I am missing? How about GL4 and SLX?

Just tested new crossfire application profiles and there is NO crossfire support for arma2oa

Make sure you have the mipmap setting at highest (ATI Catalyst Control Centre)

Win 7 x64 and Cat 9.6: With Catylst AI set to advanced and -winxp shortcut added crossfire works very well. When renaming .exe to crysis.exe crossfire also worked but performance was terrible.

Can anybody test if Crossfire works with these drivers without any work arounds
