Hi guys, I am really getting annoyed with this XAM MOD. I think they have done a great job, but on my public server thats a different story! I don't have XAM or any other addons installed on my public server. But with respawn missions, XAM causes the biggest problems... Once people die then respawn everyone gets the error message (bla bla bla config claymore) well something along those lines lol... Once this error comes up, everyones game starts to CTD and its really p'ing me off! If i make it so everyone has the same mod as the server, does that mean they wont be able to connect if they use XAM? also does it mean they wont be able to connect if they use any other mod apart from XAM? (sound modifications) Ive never had this problem with the server. Only since the release of XAM. So once again... Is there anyway of stopping players connect to my server if they have XAM enabled? cheers!

I take it thats for the client side? If so, how would that stop people connecting to the server with the XAM?

But what if they change the Mod folder name? What about making a deny list for addons? (like someone has said for ID's) This way we just add the names of addons we don't want people to use on the server? If they changed the addons name, then you can just ban them with verified signatures (Once that finally decides to come out) Would this be possible?

what about if u have it in your server name title? for example... Deviant Wing (No XAM) or summit like that?

@ Q XAM Mod doesn't crash the server, but it crashes everyone else's game. I haven't installed it on the server because i was thinking the same, that it wont do anything on the clients pc. @ Mastermind How have you banned XAM mod from your server matey? or have you just left a message in the saying XAM mod is not permitted?

Hmmm Cheers matey looks like equalModRequired=1 is my only option, but that means players can't use any mods, including sound modications etc... Does anybody else have the same problem with XAM on there server? Also do you think i can stop most peoples game crashing by installing XAM on the server?

IMHO ArmA is slowing down/dying... Don't get me wrong the ArmA community is amazing, and theres alot of organizations out there that are trying to keep it alive. But theres only so much you can do. 1/50 missions out there stand out from the rest. Even though the other missions are different, but most still have the same type of goal. Without the tools, all we have is re-skinned addons which is great at first but their still the same addons in theory. Once the tools have been released then im sure ArmA will be the biggest game around and their will be enough addons and missions to keep everyone interested Look at the stuff RKSL are working on for example, which looks amazing! but im sure they need the tools to release most of there work! Does anyone have any sort of idea when we are expecting the tools to be released???

It wouldn't be to bad over Paraiso if the buildings were bigger so you can fly in between them On the other hand having over hill tops is good because its a change of scenery. As for anchor rage what would that involve? obviously boats lol, but what other ideas has he got planned? Can the boats have NOS?

I would say its a compliment as we like all the missions. As for chopper rage, i don't know if it would be to much work but would it be possible to choose if you want it set in parisio or over mountain tops? If it wasn't possible then i would say hill tops as you have quite a few missions based in cities

Hmmm... Ive just tested Cannon Rage and Chopper Rage Cannon Rage is ermm... like you said not what you would expect at all! lol... Its very weird but once you get use to it, its very good and a good laugh As for Chopper Rage, theres not much you can really do to the mission. But from what ive seen no one has created a Chopper DM yet! Its very simple but fun at the same time, with the right players This will make you laugh Celery, most of the members on |J:Ops| think Chopper Rage is your best yet lol. Keep up the good work matey!

Just a quick question for you here guys... How do i edit the main ArmA page, where you select what you would like to do next? for example... play mp, play sp, options etc... For now i would just like to Add some images to the page, maybe also some Text, and move a few things about just so it looks pretty (If thats possible) Ive de-pbo'd the BIN.pbo, which i think is the right place for me to start this, but! theres like a 1000 files. If im in the right place can someone point out which one i need to edit? Cheers!

Alrighty CK me old chum! TBH matey you might aswell wait, unless you want to learn cezch. When i made that UK island for OFP, i used the WRPtool or WRPedit can't remember lol. I didn't use visitor because it aint English. Im not too sure if WRPtool is the same as Visitor but damned if i new, couldn't understand a word of it! For the time being if you want, learn the config.file ect... for islands, atleast thats a start. Then hopefully BIS will release the new visitor

TBH the track is not my sort of music, although it grows on you lol I just thought it might be a good idea to have a faster track and faster lights so more people have fits

Maybe lol... But are they the ones complaining about the cheaters? Don't think so. Until BIS get a kick up the bum an sort something out then thats all we can do. Even addon signatures is a start! come on BIS! Well TBH for addons to be released we need the TOOLS!

Hi Celery, I tried the DM Disco and must say its very nice but! is there any chance you can make the lights bigger, faster and brighter? more mind blowing lol... Just so its more likely to give you an epileptic fit? Also any news on your other missions?
