Personally i think ArmA is a very good game, that at the same time is highly flawed and really *need* to be fixed.

Definitely not. Turret is electrically driven and modern tanks (10 years and less) have a auxiliary generator to keep the voltage of the batteries. This helps to keep the Tank relatively cool and to save fuel in watch and recon situations. I used to be a real life tanker, my tank didnt have an auxilary generator. When we was standing in one position over a length of time we turned off the engine, then turned it on again to reload the batteries about every 30 minute, as the turret pulls lots of juice. Also we didnt want the tank to be cool, we wanted it to be hot as i'm in Norway. Norway during the winter is very cold, especially inside a metal freezing box. Luckily we had a very powerful heater inside

Stabiz (are you lord stabiz from RSC?), try to select lower shader settings. This improved the performance alot for me when close to bushes

Luciano, if you hate ArmA so much and still keep posting ... then thats really sad.

How do i check my framerate ?

I'll take simulation over "playability" every day. Thats why i bought OFP and later ArmA in the first place. I wish it was even more realistic in some regards.

A little addition about the page file : Its very important that the page file is not fragmented. To make sure your page file is not fragmented I recommend moving the page file to a different partition, then defragment the old partition that used to host the page file, then move the page file back again. And its very important that you do not let windows manage the page file size. Set the size about 1.5 gigs both minimum and maximum size

Programs like Daemon Tools are not game cracking tools.

What exactly does that mean ?
