nvidia geforce fx 5500 128mb soundmax digital audio 512mb ram pentium 4 processer operation flashpoint 1.96 im just speculating but could it have anything to do with the dxdll patch that i added?

sometimes for no reason in particular, the sound in operation flashpoint disappears. i have no idea why this is happening. sometimes it disappears when a start the game, other times it'll go away during the mission so i assume it is random. can anyone tell me how to fix this problem so that i won't lose sound anymore? any help is appreciated.
