  1. HI Yall ok I have been fiddling around with the editor and looked through the forums and tute but to no avail, could anyone show me how to make myself appear on the map during the game? I have seen other missions by other maker where you appear as red circle icon when you pull up the map during gameplay, so you know where you are on the map.
  2. hiyall, I have been looking around this forum and most part of the web but I could not find any addon for a Radar/Satellite dish. I was thinking of the small kind, that is use for communications.I had plan to create a mission where a group comes in and destroy the enemy communication line ..which in this case a radar/ satellite dish. If anyone knows where I cld get one pls point me there? thanks

    adding medic kit

    aahhh so config is the file I should be looking at stupid me. I had DePBO the file and was looking at all the .paa and .pac file hehe my bad,lesson learnt.. thanks again pazuzu.
  7. Hi yall I have a small problem here have tried without success to find the solution everywhere. I have used removeallweapon command on my medic init, as such he has also lost his medic kit. I have looked thru the Command Reference but there was none for Medic kit. How do I put back the medic kit back (bandage etc) ? Thanx

    hi pazuzu thanks again I would send you my email but I have seen somewhere that the troop carries bangdages (First Aid Dressing (FAD)) in their inventory, I think it was GROM. could I have other members of the troop to carry those as well after the removeallweapon command ?

  10. hi there, gotta question, is there a height restriction for Parachute jumps? I had tried to get a Chinook to delivery my team and a script was written for them to "Eject" but I notice when i set the Chinook height to anything above 125 the chinook kept twisting around on the waypoint that I had set to run the script but it would not eject the troops. It would only work for height below 125 Another thing I read in one of the post that there is a script for HALO insertion anyone has the link to this script ? Thanx

  12. hi yall, OK I know that there are plenty of tutes out there about how to go about making a Briefing for the mission, perhaps I could be doing it wrongly somewhere so I do hope to get some guidance from u guys. I have used a Briefing template from one of the tutorials (in fact I have looked into a few all having the same structure) after I have finished I saved it in html in to USERS>MYPROFILE>MISSIONS>MYMISSIONFOLDER. But when I go to play the game in the Single Player mode it goes straight to the game without going to the Briefing. Did i miss a step ?

  14. Hi yall, just wondering how do one go about if one wants to change the unit patch on the units/soldier. This is more to add personal realism for SP missions than for multiplayer.Tried looking for a tute on it but can't find an easy one to follow.

    Briefing Issues

    Thanks alot guys found the error, it seems that using Frontpage to edit had caused additional lines to be added at the start of the HTML script,once I deleted the additional text and commands, It worked! ...but another thing, is there a rule to how you name your ojectives? I have named one of my objectives "Contact Point" (under Name and Text column) in the editor to a spot on the Map using MARKER(F6) command but when I clicked on it on the Briefing page (which I have used "marker:Contact Point") it does not center to the "Contact Point" I have marked. Any ideas?

    Currently I have the GROM addon which is great but the one I wanted to change first is the default WEST men. I was thinking of changing the american flag to another flag/patch or somethin. thanks

Hi Yall, Not sure if this was asked before but could not seem to find any thread on this, I was just wondering 1) is there any place I could get a good hostage addon and 2) Most importantly I am working on a rescue map. In this map I am to find this hostages and once I have located them they are to follow me to the extraction point. I have seen a few of this type mission about but not sure how it could be done ?? Any help is apperciated as Im kinda new to the map making on OFP an trying to learn as much as I can.
  19. wohoo! I manage to get all them to carry my weapons of choice thanks all . So Im back at the original question of making the hostage join me .where do I put in the command "[hostage1, hostage2, hostage3] Join Player" as suggested by hidden_spectre. he mentioned somethin about putting it in the activation box of the trigger. what I had in mind was once the enemy guards are dead the hostages would follow me. I have tried with the syncronise comand (F5) and all but could not figure out how or to whom do I join the trigger to Just some curious question also, is there any way to make the players under my command slightly better shots as the few times I was messing around with them in the editor preview the enemy always see them first and they always end up running blindly in front of the enemies and getting shot up and when they do see the enemy, the return fire never hits the enemy while the enemy happily killed them all ..thanks again yall
  20. Hi guys yup adding "mag" did the job thanx tho im still stuck with default M16/M203 Grenade launcher cos this "mag" command does not work it seem so how do i go abt dePBOing the file? thanx again so far

Thanks 5133p39 but I must have been doin it wrongly or somethin, I jus could not get to load the weapon again I tried a few variation like changing the term '_unit' to 'this' . here is my full command in the initialization box - removeAllWeapons this; this addmagazine "SAR21"; this addMagazine "SAR21"; this addMagazine "SAR21"; this addWeapon "SAR21"; manage to get the weapon right but the ammo ...
  22. hi yall, got into a snag here i have successfully added my desired weapon to my unit but when game starts it has no ammo, how do i add ammo to the weapon I have looked thru a couple of tuts but the can't find a command script for adding ammo. I have also tried a few combination from this tutorials but nothing seem to work e.g AddMagazineCargo ["SAR21", 5] with SAR21 as my choosen weapon and 5 the amount of magazine.

Thanks all for the reply ...but just wondering errr where do i type in this script again my apologies as im really new in this map making thingy but I did see a lot of scripts around and just could not figure out where to type them in as I also wanted to change the default face and weapon of my character ..which i know can be done thanks again !!
