Mayby you should try to keep the same path lenght as the Arma uses: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">"\ca\characters\hhl\hhl_01_CO.paa" no mather the the names or folders but the path must be EXACTLY the same length as default... i done it that way and works fine

And about tha custom face in profiles, sorry but i havent tried but mayby you can find out something when you look in the caharacters.pbo (sorry not ca as i write before - mea culpa) config...
  4. I think you just overbrighted the specular map - make the "shining" parts a bit darker (i haved similiar problem), but i may be wrong

Just look at the that config (it is binarized, unbin it with kegetys tools) which i was writing above ca.pbo in the arma addons folder then look how the face class is defined - copy part that you need into your own config and define your new face  something like this (this is not correct writing of config just look at somebodys config how to write): <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> CfgFaces class face1; class yourownface : face1 sorry, but right now i am at work and dont have Arma here  (but i want to!!! so i dont remeber it correctly... but when i come home i will post my working config, if somebody much more skilled than me dont do it before me. hope you understand my horrible english Â
  6. Try to extract the Arma's ca.pbo and and look for faces class in the config...and define new faces. For me it worked well. I may post you my config later today if you want...

    Ehm, i think not (oh god, dunno why I havent tried it) Oh and realy thanks for quick reply. And is there any way to get the new Arma muzzle flashes working on this OFP ports?

    Hi guys i have noobish problem - i dont how to remove that f**** muzzle flash from ofp weapon ported to Arma... i have deleted it from .p3d file with O2 and also removed old ofp paths to "zasleh" textures with TextPathSwap... but the muzzle flash is still there , first it was bright white now it is grey. But it is only showing in 1st person view - if Iadd weapon to AI or switch to 3rd person view it disapears. Yes, I have searched the forum, but from that i have found it is not clear to me what to do now to remove it...  thx  s8n
  11. Yeah, i thought the same thing but Rellikki's Resistance Troops v.1.1 the sniper had changed face texture and it loads in game every time... Mayby we should ask him how he did it...

Hi all, Â i have one small question... ...sorry Plasman i rape your topic on my noobish question but i dont wanna start new topic for this... hope it also may be helpful for you and other ppl too... so here is my question - i have problem to change face textures in *.p3d models - i change paths correctly in UltraEdit - game writes no errors but no matter i have set new face texture the game put the defualt faces on my new addon... dunno how to change it... i try to keep the original names of textures (hhl_01 or so) also tried to change the name and folder - none of it works for me... If someone had some hint it will help me (mayby some others) lot... thx s8n oh and sorry for my english...

    Unfortunally, the script doesn't help... I used the following loop: #loop ~0.1 ? alive civ3: goto "ok" goto "loop" #ok group1 setBehaviour "CARELESS" exit ........ you can try put setUnitPos "up" in the loop, but dont know if it helps, if not replace the original BIS civilian with some civilian addon which you can find here in forums...

    Havent played your campaign yet, but sure i will... about the civilian issue - try to force him to careless mode with some script loop that will change his status every 1 second or less - if you set him in careless mode he will automaticly switch to safe mode due to fsm files that uses Arma AI...

    Try to turn off hardware accelaration and EAX guys - might help you... anyway this should fixed

Yop, RealTek soundcards seems to be problematic for Arma - i have these problems too, sometimes absolutly no sound, but more often no gunfire sound - changing from Hardware accelaration to software might help mayby turn off EAX too. But this no solution for me! It would be great if BIS fix this too  1.05 but also on 1.02 (but no so often) Czech DVD

    Mayby you have virtual CD/DVD ROM and protection detected that... try to reinstall Win and install Arma on the emulating soft clean system... or check some game protections forums/sites... other games with this protecion may have similiar problems...

    ArmA 1.05 starforce problem

    AFAIK, only Czech (mayby Polish too) version for Czech and Slovak market had Starforce protection (on Czech Language forum the discussion about this "protection" prohibited. I am the lucky one that bought Czech DVD version and therefor I can enjoy the great servise of this woderfull protective software that show one time error that it detected emulating software on my PC and suddenly after that without any problems run the game slightly funny... ofcourse that this is completly random
  20. Confirming. I was shocked when i saw completly destroyed BlackHawk slowly landing to the ground... btw. saw first time in MP game - confirmed by all players on that server. Also noticed (dunno if it is Bug) that ammocrates has slow reaction times or how can i call it. The action pop menu show after long  time (20sec or more). Czech DVD version - patched from 1.02 to 1.05
