I only tried crossing the runway once and got shot half way accross. I probably didn't skirt round in a wide enough arc. I'll have to try it again.

Thanks Tracker but I managed to finish it by firing all three RPGs damned quick and then lying down until the Mission Complete screen. It took me about 20 attempts to hit all three planes quickly enough AND survive the tanks coming up behind me. I got blown sky high many times! I stopped and fired from near the finger-shaped rock. Not a good place to be when the tanks come rolling in but I couldn't find any proper cover that was within RPG range of the planes. Going right up to the hangars just got me shot by their infantry. I did think about using satchels but reckoned I wouldn't be able to get close enough to the planes before being spotted. How did you get that close?

Have you tried lowering the hardware acceleration for your sound card in DXDiag. Lower it by one notch (slide to the left) on the Sound 1 tab and see if the game stops crashing. This worked for me - OFP was crashing every 5 minutes or less. Now it doesn't crash at all. Athlon XP2600 Radeon 9800 Pro Audigy 2 Platinum

I'm on Resistance mission FIRE FIGHT. I've reached the airfield and am in a position to RPG the three bombers, but as soon as I open fire on the first plane, a bunch of tanks and loads of infantry all start shooting at me. Consequently I never get further than destroying the 2nd bomber before the Russkies blow me away. Any ideas how to finish the mission?

I tried doing a runner earlier but all my blokes got killed and the truck got destroyed so I failed the mission.

Why would that reinstate the chart? It must have disappeared because something has changed during the second installation. Have you got the chart on your installation?

Yep you're right. I managed to complete the mission by getting all my blokes to disembark from the truck and take on the infantry squads while I shot down the Hind with the AA launcher. Then I blew up the BMP's with the AA and helped my blokes out with an M21 sniper rifle. There were a couple of enemies with NVGs and three of my men got killed. We managed to get back to camp though and didn't see any other enemy units. I only saw one Hind although I think I could hear a second one. Also I managed to blow up the friendly boat - clobbered it with the AA before I realised it was one of ours! Good mission this one.

I've just had to refinstall OFP-R. My first installation had a chart on the debriefing page showing the total number of campaign kills (i.e. a running total). It also showed the number of kills for the particular mission I'd just finished. After reinstalling the game, the chart isn't there any more - I don't get the running total for the whole campaign - I just get the number of mission kills. Does anyone know how to get the chart back?

I'll try and answer all of these replies in one go. To You_looking_at_me? : I've tried making a dash for it in the truck - in every direction including ENE - but I always get clobbered by the Hind or a ground unit. To [TU]$33ker : What about all the other enemy units between the beach and your destination - how did you get past them? They seem to be all over the place and hit the truck before you even know they're there. To FSPilot : I've tried ignoring the Hind and dashing for the forest but I always get nailed by either the Hind or an enemy ground unit I can't even see. To The Frenchman : see the question to [TU]$33ker above. To All : Anyone know how to set email notification so I get an email whenever someone posts a reply? I can't see any option to switch it on in my Control Panel.

I had the same problem with Windows 2000 Pro and I think it might be a heat thing. Have you tried running OFP with the side off your system case? Â As soon as I tried it the game stopped crashing immediately. I've got a Radeon 9700 Pro and Athlon XP2600+. There are plenty of fans in my tower but the weather is fairly warm at the moment. So I'm hoping it's just the mini-heatwave that's causing the problem - I don't really want to have to take the side panel off every time I play a game! Is yours a Radeon 9700 Pro too?

No, I'm definitely looking at page 1.

This has got to be the funniest line on the forum. Laughed - I nearly wet myself.

You're better off with an invisible Angelina - she's so bloody annoying all you'll want to do is shoot her the minute you clap eyes on her.
