well i originally bought operation flashpoint when it came out and i played it a lot and i liked the game but got busy and ended up taking it off pc for a while and than i got a new pc earlier this past year and put it on which it worked just fine and it got taken off again but just about a week ago i installed it again but this time the game would not load up i got the logo but when that disappeared the game would close and it did the same thing with the patchs, i looked all through this forum and i tried everything in technical support but nothing has worked, i e-mailed codemasters and i tried what they said and nothing still worked, i need help i want to play this game again but i do not want to do a reformat just to play or put another partition on here, if someone can please help me i would appreciate it. if you want any info on my pc let me know and i be more than happy to paste what ever is needed.

well after a lot awaiting time i finally got my game up and running and patched, i guess that in the registry somewhere there were some bad entrees that the game hated and kept it from starting but reformating fixed my problem and a bunch of my other pc problems. so thank you everyone that tried helping me.

well the worse has started happening today, my pc is starting to majorly mess up bad so come sunday after backing up stuff i am going to have to reformat the pc and maybe than i may get the game to run who knows.

well i know that when i got direct x 9 i had loads of crashing and thought maybe its my drivers for video card since i got errors with video card but saw that direct x 9 was not installed right and now i get no more errors in my games or drivers liek i did.

i have the lastest drivers that i know of(released december 3rd) and yes i tried avon's faq and i did the aspi layer stuff and all but i am not taking a chance of going to aspi layer 4.7 i got 4.6 right now. and went through the other stuff on there as well.

i have a 1.4 ghz amd xp1600+, geforce 2 mx-400 with 64mb ram, 256 mb ddr ram, windows xp professional with latest updates, sound blaster audigy sound card, 40 gb hdd. anything else needed?
