It does act like it is not a complete crash but more on the line of what you are talking about with safedisc. The banner shows in beginning when I go to start game and whammy exits out. IT also does this for any update installs. This is original store bought disk also. Also ran utility on install it showed all files loaded into system properly for first disk install which is v 1.20. Will install again and add gold pack which I believe should bring it up to v1.3. Gonna try a fix to file to see if my orginal disk is bad. All my aspi are the latest. Funny but I have the same problem with Morrwind Elder Scrolls III. All other games work fine including unreal 2003 demo, neverwinternights, etc. Will post again after I try doing reinstall.
