Also had that error... but it was coming from either the the MODWAR sound mod, everon island, or afghanistan island. I just turned off all 3 in my exe and now it loads fine.

well, it works now... but only cause i had a friend i play with send me his bare beta folder.. after installing the new patch into a seperate folder. long story short... installed fked

yea i did... i've tried it from my desktop, from the arma folder... etc. nothing makes it work cant even extract it manually and just plop it all into the beta folder. grr

well, i know my way around the registry thats for sure... just not sure what entries I should be looking for... all the 'arma' entries appear intact. as it is, the game was just installed fresh for the newest offical patch... and it has been running fine since. this is just weird.

how would i know what entries to even look for.... the registry is a very large world :
