i had the same problem too , you have to download the 1.92 patch and run ofp under 1.92. Now the wonderful island works

1.92 creates it's own EXE, seperate to 1.91, so your old desktop shortcuts won't work. make sure you double click the new EXE in the OFP folder. ahhh ok that worked. Thanks alot.

so i d/led 1.92 twice. Its weird though its taking like .00001 seconds to install and im still getting the error.

thats odd , i dont really have that many addons and i have 512mb of ram. I just deleted alot of addons and its still not working.

When i try to start flashpoint it quits and says cannot memory-map file Res/addons/bas_o.pbo. Im confused by how your supposed to install the anims too.

Do i need to have the old pack? Whenever i go into the editor only the the chinook shows up under the malvinas air thing and if i try to use it , it crashes my game.

Well, I usually take care of them. Nothing worse than a pack of wolves on your tail. I just wait until my units engage, and then I throw my nades before they do. Then I just wipe out that small patrol that comes up behind you. I just find that the biggest problem is moving through the fields. Theres at least 400 guys in the forest, 50000 guys in the field hiding everywhere. Damn man, it's like the movie predator. I swear one fired a panzershrek at me once. lol i just kept running , my whole squad died except for me. Im now on the rescue the POW mission. A suggestion though , put a retry point after you save the big group of POWs. Hmmm the hawkins mines dont work. I go down to place them and they never place.

MINOR SPOILERS Also at one point when you get to the rally point and see like 10 germans coming after you , dont be a hero , just take your men and run away. Those germans are nade whores.

SPOILERS Hes on the slope of the hill behind a bush. He has some bushes on him , so look for a small unusual looking bush behind a bigger bush and the slope of the hill facing the junction.

Place your mines on a perpendicular line with the ones the AI dude places them,hopefully the mines will get the first APC and the tank,u then really need to take out the 2 remaining APC's ASAP so as to get the enemy soldiers before or as they disembark...I finished this mission at second try with a massive amount of points  SPOILERS I know what you mean , its all about luck it seems though. In the oringinal flashpoint it was so much easier to take out the tanks. I will try it again. It would be so much easier if the halftracks completely blow up with one shot. Hmmm so i absolutely have to take out that tank to win.[/b]

SPOILERS im on the 3rd mission where you have to ambush the convoy. The 2nd mission has two different ways it can play out. The 3rd mission is impossibly hard though. 2 mines is not enough to stop a tank and 3 half tracks. The ai guys does do crap really and 10 germans get off their half track and kill me.

Very nice release guys. The thompson seems too inaccurate IMO but the carbine seems better. I have a weird problem though which i had in the first release too , i cant pick up an mp40 from dead germans. Also if i try to take one from a half track i get a carbine! The mp40 works fine if thats the main weaopn for my guy though.

Could be a Full addon folder´s fault, not the Dropships´s its self. no it was defenitaly the dropships , like 5 other people in these forums had the problem after they got the dropship.

did u guys fix the bug where it made operation flashpoint freeze every 10 seconds. I couldnt play flashpoint for a week because of that.
