Seriously though, it actually runs pretty cool - it's been on continuously now for around 5-6 hours and I'd say it's no hotter than a 15 inch.

The box is so huge I can literally get inside and close the lid (no, I'm not exaggerating). It's an IBM P275 flat screen aperture grille CRT job - stupidly expensive but absolutely stunning image quality - incredibly bright and razor sharp. Even on low res it's looks fantastic - best picture I've ever seen on a PC monitor (and I've seen a few as I work in television). I can't stop looking at the thing so it was well worth the money. (Have a look at IBM's site for a pic). Having said all that, it is mind-boggingly heavy, an instant hernia job. I can barely lift the thing and now I'm going to have to reinforce the floor!!! Still, who cares, this is a stunning piece of kit - did I say that already?

Thanks for the info Mr. Snrub. Resistance is supposed to be arriving today so I'll give it a go when I've got a few (continuous) hours to spare. I've just got a nice new 21-inch monitor and I can't wait to see what OFP looks like on it.

Nogova's size and new buildings/vegetation etc. will keep you amused for a long time. I've had it for a few months now, and I still haven't explored every bit of it. Without Res. you wouldn't be able to use some of the great new addons coming out as well...<span id='postcolor'> Apart from the above, what makes it so special - can you give me some more info - i.e. are the missions any good? and what about the graphics?
  5. I've just ordered Resistance and wondered what everyone thought of it. How does it compare with the orginal game (OFP Gold Edition)?

    Dont laugh - mission trouble

LUCAZONE : If you think that mission is tricky - try "Battlefields" in the single player missions. There are literally hundreds of enemy troops and you have to kill every one of them to get a "mission successful". Hint: Look out for the sniper who appears on the left up by the tree line - otherwise he'll nail all your men. The best way to deal with him is go and lie in wait for him before he gets to his sniping spot. When you've done that take his rifle and snipe away yourself.
