Great stuff, seems to work ok but the only problem is the mission briefing text is covered by a black box. Any work around or do we just turn it off to read the briefing then back on ingame? -

Do the improved AI and textures of Resistance update the original OF cold war missions?

Its not CP power - I have an Althlon 1.4 and OF runs very well (except for the poor programming which causes memory leaks and massive slow downs after a few missions) my spec: Athlon 1.4 GF 2 PRO (23.11 drivers) 512 DDR RAM It looks like its XP thats the problem

I have 1.30 installed and DONT play OF multiplayer, so is it worth installing the 1.42 patch. If I do will I get the repeated '..... is down' messages in single player missions? Thanks

Oh yes how I've screamed at my troops, NO FOLLOW ME d*amn IT! MEEEEEEEE!!!!! It seems they'll follow you if you take up the 'commander' position but swap to 'gunner' or 'driver' and they dont 'recognise' your statas as big chief! Another problem in that mission is that you lose the ability to tell convo orders over the radio. I thought at first it might be an 'out of range problem' but no, sometimes even when you have them in view the game refuses to give you the option of contacting them by radio. I've had to drive back to within a few feet of them and suddenly the option returns.

What seems strange is that you shouldnt be able to actually see the soliders, it should be pitch black (night time). So how are you seeing anything??!?! Who are they??? The chopper thing is a bit of trial and error, sometimes you just make it onboard, others times you get shot. If it still doesnt finish try hitting 'SHIFT' and numpad '-' (minus) and type ENDMISSION - this should force it to end the mission. Not sure if it'll say you completed it successfully though.

I think Codemasters insists on adding a stutter in to all their games!! I have CMR2 also from Codedisasters and guess what it has stuuutuutuutuers I've also tweaked everything and still on occassion get these stutters in OPF. Its a BRILLIANT game but these stutters are a big let down. Just tried Ghost Recon demo and it ran as smooth as butter so it cant be my system. -------------------------------------------------- Athlon 1.4, Geforce 2 PRO, 512 DDR RAM

I can be stood over a dead guy and up pops the action menu ie pick up M16/ hide body/ etc/ etc but to get back to my personal menu (put on NV, reload/ etc) I have to move away from the body. Is there any way to select other menus without having to move. Another example- This can happen infront of an ammo crate, that action menu is for ammo crate actions and I cant select my own actions without moving away! Any ideas?

hmmm, how did you get to the south (safety)? First time I did it I jumped in the chopper, blew everything to bits and flew to the south where I landed it and got out - then it goes black (I guess BIS didnt think some people would do it that quick! ) and the soldier says 'halt who goes there etc..... and the mission should finish. Other way you get up to the mountains and navigate by the stars, then eventually you just hear the voice 'halt.....etc' and then it should end. If you hear that voice and it doesnt end I dont know whats wrong, but possibly you havent gone far enough into the mountains and you've found the 'wrong' nato soldiers?!?!

Ha, ha we could recreate 'THE FALL GUY' opening sequence (remember that show!) - In a jeep heading for a ravine with a helicopter and rope ladder above, stand up in the seat and grab the ladder just as the jeep goes over the edge!!!

Ok you bail out of your plane or chopper and land in the sea, oopps sorry but you'll die because they dont teach swimming at trainning camp cant this be fixed?? Its a bit daft this one!!!

I can start up OPF and first time it runs smoothly but finish a mission and go back to the same or different mission and the graphics start to stutter and fart. I've also NEVER seen a cut-scene which runs smooth (without major stutters). My system is tweaked but still these problems. I have an Athlon 1.4, Geforce 2 PRO and 512 DDR ram - more than enough to run the game without problems!!!

I have a floating yellow enemy target which doesnt actually 'lock' onto any enemy. It just sits there or floats around the screen - and if you try to go towards it you can basically stand on it and nothing is there!?! next patch??!
