When trying to run the update 3, only the banner apears and nothing happens. I tried both the stand alone patch as well as the full upgrade, same problem appears. I also tried the DMA thingy, same situation. The 1.20 patch went without problems and I ran the checkofp_1_20, no problems indicated.
I reinstalled it twice including cleaning up the registry and wiping all files regarding ofp including temp dir.
I'm running a 1GHz thunderbird, Abit kt7raid, 256mb ram, Voodoo 3, plexwriter cdrw, asus 52x cdrom, 2 x ata100 ibm drives in raid 0, sblive, and yes, doomed with a VIA chipset.
[extra-info] This is an exact same problem I had with the beta patch 1.26. The solution then were to wait for 1.27. With 1.27 up to 1.29, I did not have this problem[/extra-info]
