hehe got it fixed. moved the sound card,nic and video card all to the same pci bus and everything seems to work now. Guess it didnt like the cards that it is using being seperated across the different pci busses for some reason.

whenever i try to join a multiplayer game i get in for a coupla seconds the sound starts screeching and the computer blue screens with multiple irp complete requests. soundblaster live sound card geforce2 mx pci video card i dont have any problems with single player at all in fact its smooth and i dont have any problems with hosting a dedicated game until I join which nukes the box.
