    Sorry to bump this old thread, but just for anyone that's looking for this info MIL-W-46374F Type 3 is the arma 2 watch, it is also the VBS3 watch for those of you who have used that Traser made the P5900 Type 3 to these specs and Stocker and Yale (Sandy) 590 Type 3 There might be more, but I am not aware of any, I think the sandy 590 is the closest to the arma 2 watch ...
  2. So my procedure would be - look at target - bring up kestrel - go to crosswind screen, hit the '-' key to calibrate, then use this value in Atrag or is it something else?
  3. Is there a tutorial on how to use the kestrel in conjunction with the Atrag to generate a windage hold? Do you use the calibrated crosswind value for the Atrag windage? I do not understand what is meant by saying "you must turn into the wind" for speed measurements (do you not just look at the target and get a crosswind measruement)?
  4. Lots of sound errors when using this with Ace... even with the sound patch. Is this normal?
  5. Which profile to use for the Mar-10 .338? Is there a gun preset already for this? Using ace?
  6. If I am looking at the target, how do I set the heading? I am eitehr on the crosswind or headwind page, I hit the center button '-' but nothing happens?
  7. Which rifles or scopes are adjustable for windage and elevation ace style? I don't mean the 100m/200m increments either...
  8. This mod crashes my game when starting my own (non dedicated server), when I remove this mod ... it no longer crashes. I am using latest version of Ace, and arma OA. Anyone have any ideas?

    Again. Why does every mission start you off with 3 mags for your primary weapon and 1/2 of your max pistol. What patrol goes out with such a small loadout? Come on.

    +1 This is a huge bug in armed assault. What's the point in defining allowable weapons in the briefing screen if nobody can pick them up?

    Good mission. However 1) After destroying the radars, air support and evac still gets shot down (why bother with this objective if the AAA/Sams don't get disabled with the radars?) Why does the briefing not mention any sort of AAA at all? 2) Not being able to select your weapons BEFORE THE DROP. Why would you have random ammo crates scattered around the map and have spec ops pickup weps? This makes no sense whatsoever. Especially the laptop, which is mission CRITICAL. 3) You can only use the laptop for a very short period of time before you are "detected". Unrealistic. You only need to burst transmit coordinates/confirm info at the press of a button, not have a trackable connection for the entire time you are at the laptop screen.

    What would the command be to say, drop an ammo crate with all the weapons and loads of ammo? Is there a list of commands we can send to createlogiccode? (I'm an ArmA newb)

    The loadouts for the sniper/observer is unrealistic. For example both do not come with full ammo loadout - what team would go out like this 3/4 primary ammo full and 1/2 ammo for sidearm. Also the observer should be carrying a rifle with m203 - currently they do not.

    LOL, well I could, easily, but a sniper on a hill would only get a vague notion of wind direction. If you really want it though, replace all the if..then block of code with <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">_DirectionText = _WindDirectionDegrees; ..that should do it Excellent. You are the man!
  16. hi, Is there an easy way to not have the scope surrounded by black when you zoom into a weapons optics? For example the M4A1 ACOG does it properly but is it also possible to modify it so you can do the same for the M107, M24 and other sniper systems? The m24 is fired with several inches of eye relief, not right up into the scope with black all around as it is currently in the game.

    Ok I figured out #1 Fog was 0. Apparently if you want to see range 1000m, your graphics card needs to be set farther than 1200m. Anyways - can you edit the map to have soldiers autogenerated at larger ranges than 1000m? Edit: Oop this was answered already

    1) I can't seem to be able to see anything past 900m on the target range map proning in the default position (my game visibility distance is set to 1200m). I am loading the map through the editor. 2) How can I make targets appear farther than the default of 1000m max in the map?

    I was just wondering about the same thing. Mostly just interested in the ghille suit and the spotting scope to make a complete sniper package.

    Information like this needs to be incorporated into the description of the mod, e.g the first post. It's really frustrating to have to read through 16+ pages to learn all the little extra information that should've been on the mod intro page.

    *edit* For lazy b******** here is the file itself *edit 2* Changed script slightly to display more correct compass descriptions (e.g. "south-west-west" to "west-south-west"). Can you just have the script display exactly what bearing it is instead of doing an infinite amount of if, else's and displaying a somewhat amibguous direction?
