    Thanks Macser for your helpful support, you were right, when i put them to that fake hard drive everything worked. I guess i would never figure out it myself. Now finally i can start modeling.

    Ill go to my friend who has photoshop on his computer and convert them to .tga or ill maybe choose the easy way and take new photos now from further distance and then crop them to needed size. EDIT: After finishing that i soon encountered with another problem, this time in o2, i want to put that texture in background for creating vertices, so i select left view, then press A then left click and select load texture, then draw a box but nothing shows up? Whats wrong again?

    EDIT: I just tried, and created .jpg picture 160x160 pixels and it still didnt work. Which part of the quoted reply you didn't understand? You can't use texture 160x160. It has to be 8, 16, 32, 128, 256, 512, 1024 or 2048. So you can use for example 128x1024 but 160 really isn't the proper texture size :P Who says i dont understand anything from that post?

    Ok I think my friend has photoshop, ill try to convert those files with that prog and see what happens then. But i dont think it will solve the problem, because i think the problem is in unequal width and hight.

    What program are you using for creating .tga files? I have .jpg file for about 3 mb, when i convert it to tga it weights about 6 mb and when i convert that .tga to .paa or .pac it gets a little more heavier.

    It doesnt matter how large i create them, if i create both sides with equal count of pixels my picture will still be streched, because orginal file size is about 2000x2800. I downloaded that PAATool and saw that it again supports only .tga files. And as you said the .tga files must be 32bit which makes them extremely heavy. What is it with those programmers with using such stupid formats. Those .tga files are almost as heavy as .bmp ones.

    Im trying to make a car, and my jpg files are made with digital camera, they are fairly large (about 2000x2000) and i want to make a texture for both sides of my car in good quality, so if i change to 256x256 the quality will be very poor. I could probably split that large file to several smaller ones, but that would complicate texturing model a lot.

    Im using Corel Draw 9 it is not a very new program, but does its job well. About resizing, if i do so then my textures will look streched, because the hight of the picture is half of the width. EDIT: I just tried, and created .jpg picture 160x160 pixels and it still didnt work.

    Now I can surely say this is one of the worst editing progs i have worked with, i created .tga files with corel draw, but still this crap didnt like them, after hours of unsuccessful work converting files from one format to another I decided to quit working with that useless prog. So maybe anyone knows some kind of alternative for creating textures?

    As nobody is answering, i figured it out myself. You have to create images in .gif format (for unknown reason it doesnt work with .jpg files) i guess all the problem is in the fact that Czech people have made it as all other buggy programs.

    TB you should check out and fix some sounds, for example when you are driving tank if you run in to wall or building, even with very low speed, it makes terrible bang, sounds like the tank had just exploded in a million peaces. You could change it to more realistic one. And in my opinion m4a1 sounds were better in old version, but russian AK-74 sound is way better than before.

    Are there any new mirrors for that FFUR_SLX_Patch_1.01.rar except filefront.com, cause its one of the slowest servers of all, and you cant use download accelerators either.

    Thanks Spinal Tap 84 that new patch fixed all the errors, now everything works fine.

    After playing with FFUR 2007 i decided to download the new mod that everybody is talking about - FFUR/SLX, so I downloaded it and at first i tested without that extra pack, it seemed nice except several annoying things like auto prone and soldier whining all the time, so i downloaded FFUR_SLX_Extra_Pack_1.2.rar and installed it, it installed with no errors, but when i started mission editor, to test all the features, and started game some kind of error popped up: And when i put mi-17 in map, another one popped up, then i couldnt even start the game: And the same thing in Nogovo map: So whats wrong? Is it my fault, or is it something to do with the pack?

  17. Yesterday i checked out the new FFUR 2007 mod, all in all it is a great mod, the best mod you can get for a computer that is too weak for Armed Assault. Everything seemed nice except one thing- the bullet damage, you have to shoot several times to kill a bad guy, not like in good old flashpoint, even with m-16 you have to put 2-3 rounds in to a bad guy to kill him, even worse with pistols, you have to put 3-5 rounds in to an unarmed civillian to kill him, so my question is - is it possible to change the damage back like it was in flashpoint? Do you have to change some lines in some kind of config files or what?

    Yesterday i almost laughed my ass off, in one mission i was driving bradley and saw russian MI-17 taking off, and i thaugt were screwed, but when he started attacking me i almost died (from laughing of course), his rockets were going everywhere, it looked like cheap chinese fireworks, not a single hit me, in fact i saw him accidentally killing his own BMP.

    Well it only seemed strange that when you shoot someone in the back with 45. caliber bullet twice, i doubt anyone could walk normaly like nothing had happened.
